The Residence Maldives is located in the beautiful island of Falhumaafushi. It welcomes guests with luxuriously furnished guestrooms fitted with a private terrace and free internet access. This island is one of the most beautiful places we've even been to. The marine life outside the villas is just stunning - make sure to explore the reef further on! Sharks, turtles and ray sightings were a daily occurence. We also got to see the dolphins up close several times which was such a treat! The staff was incredibly nice and attentive and the food was amazing everywhere we went. We loved the french Falhumaa restaurant the best. We went in July and were fortunate to only have one rainy day during our week-long stay. During the off-season, we felt like we had the resort to ourselves and would absolutely go again. Can't recommend enough!

Pullman Maldives Maamutaa is an all-inclusive haven located in the Gaafu Alifu atoll. This five-star premium resort spans 18 hectares of lush greenery with 122 villas. The location was simply stunning! The room was super clean and absolutely comfortable. Although there were other guests, it felt so private, as we were the only people on the island. Even without snorkelling, you can see so much marine life while out and about, including shark, stingrays, eagle rays and turtles. The entire complex was well maintained. The food was of great quality, and the staff was kind and ready to help. This property is true paradise!

Kondey Villas in Kondey provides accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool and a bar. This small boutique hotel is very new, and the rooms are furnished in a way that you cannot find in any of the local islands. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. If you are looking for a small local island experience and see another point of view of the Maldives it is really great. We combined this with a couple days of resort experience and it was perfect for us. The rooms are large and and very comfy. There is a small pool right outside of your room.

Offering garden views, Suncoral Maldives in Kondey provides accommodations and a shared lounge. The guesthouse is run by wonderful locals who strive to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. They are not just regular stuff, but family and friends in a tight knit community, who genuinely care about the service they provide. I do not usually write reviews, but in this case I made an exception as the whole experience was so amazing that I wanted to make sure that the guesthouse and the lovely people who run it get the recognition they deserve. Throughout my stay, I was in constant communication with the owner via WhatsApp, if I needed more sunscreen, wanted to have an early dinner, or arrange a snorkel trip and be taken out on a boat, they immediately answered and invariably made everything possible. Location: The guesthouse is located on a small island of 200 inhabitants, with untouched nature, an amazing coral reef perfect for snorkeling, and a tight-knit community of locals living their daily lives. The island is completely safe and the locals are welcoming and curious about foreigners. At one time, on my way back from the beach, I was invited into the house of a handful of locals who offered me some traditional food and had an interesting discussion with me about their customs and way of life. The property The property was built very recently by the owner, and was very much up to the European standards, super clean and very cozy. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and an electric kettle with a selection of coffees and teas that you can make in your room. All meals are served in a dining area just outside of the house, where you can look at the surrounding nature while eating. Snorkel gear and beach towels are also provided free of charge. The beach The beach is just a few hundred meters from the property, full of coconut trees under which you can lay, or just leave your belongings there while snorkeling. Most of the time I was the only one at the beach, or else only saw 2-3 other people a few hundred meters away from me.
