I would like a refund, given I paid for an Uber all the way to the residence (which misrepresented both the location, conveniences available nearby, and above all - the safety level. The host and I had agreed upon the time I would arrive, yet in the pitch black, very questionable neighborhood - no one answered the front door of the haunted looking house that had the correct address marked on the front as per that indicated (#22) on the booking.com reservation confirmation page. Since I couldn't get in, I had to take the Uber all the way back to my original location and pay for a Best Western last minute. I did not even stay at this location and want my money back.

I loved that is one and a half blocks away from a great coffee shop that even tastes better than Starbucks. Is a very comfy place, perfect for people that are not going to stay there for a long time, it has all the services and I recommend it a lot, as is in a secure area and has a lot of good restaurants in a walking distance

I was told once I was there that like any other City, there are good areas and bad areas. I was also quite recommended to not go clubbing on the nights. Apart from that, during the day we went to restaurants and even walked on the streets and the food was great, and we didn't see or felt any danger.
I believe Matamoros is a place where you go to do what you need to do, stay a few days, and then come back. At least at this point in time.
We didn't visit it any beaches, we did try awesome seafood.

Well to start of, the expressway way is right infront of this place and basically takes you everywhere you need to go. This expressway takes you the mall, the zoo, and downtown. Trust me you wont get lost.

Street light in El Centro .and having street signs make it easy to find places . nice parks and historical places honoring Texas and US , Mexico relations over the centuries , Museums , Galleries and Murals and Art , The streets were clean.

Space X is not open to the public, but it is worth seeing from the outside. Take Hwy 4 out of Brownsville, but watch for potholes!
Brownsville is near the last battle of the civil war, and historic markers are in the area. The city is a mixture of old and new, is generally very clean, but does have a high crime rate.

I had a horrible experience with the daytime manager named Erica, one of the most unprofessional, unpleasant individual i have ever come across. I had a 2 night stay the first night my wife went to the hospital and spent most of the night at the ER. Night shift attendant was wonderful. Next day in the morning was woken up by loud banging noices and found out there was construction near our room. I called front desk a little irritated from the loud construction asked Erica how long was noice going to last my wife needed rest. She barked at me saying it was going to last a week and if I didn't like it I can get a refund and leave. I said we could have been told there was going to be construction going on. She again said I could leave with a refund. She didn't even offer a solution like moving me away from construction or discount I got irritated with her attitude so I said F U I'll stay. 5 min later there was a knock at the door and she kicked us out saying no we weren't staying and we could leave with a discount. She kept sending staff every couple of minutes to make sure we left at one point sent a male staff who just walked in without knocking violating our privacy my wife and teenage daughter were in the restroom with door open,so I yelled give us a minute!! When I went to the front desk she mockingly laughed and said you get no refund with a childish grin saying bye bye , super unprofessional. Don't stay here I've seen other reviews where she's done the same to other guests. I don't know what game she was playing or scam she was running because she should have know our stay was non refundable so why would she offer that option more than once. Erica needs to not be in that manager position what scam are you running here?!?!
