Close enough to many wineries for lunching and wine tasting. The area was easily accessible by car and recommend hiring a small vehicle to explore the region. Fresh local produce and breads for breakfast provided a good start to the day. Plenty of birdlife singing songs in the early morning and if you are lucky, you will see the darting rabbit amongst the Lavender Fields. A very pleasant stay, highly recommend.

Heading from Wellington to Christchurch via the Interislander ferry and wanted to break the journey and visit the vineyards and Warbirds museum at Omaka. Just as well as our pre-booked ferry changed from 13:30 to 11:30 to 15:45. Easy to find house with off-road parking. Really comfortable well-equipped rental. Great pub in Renwick. Good base to visit the vinyards and free bikes available.

We loved chatting with Ike over breakfast and he got us set up on a tandem bike to tour the wineries, which was really fun. He was so friendly and accommodating and took excellent care of us! He even drove us to the bus stop (just a five minute walk) on our way out of town, which he really didn't need to do. Breakfast was delicious. The location is unbeatable - just a few minutes bike ride to the wineries and a short walk to the dinner options- mainly a pub, a tavern, and some takeaway spots. The room was luxurious and had everything we needed. The fact that the bike rental was included made this part of our trip extra convenient and a good price. Will definitely stay again if we get the chance! Location: In hindsight it was lucky we chose to stay in Renwick instead of Blenheim. We did bike to Blenheim from Renwick just for kicks and it took about 30 min but there's not much of a bike lane and cars pass pretty quickly on both road options. So if you're thinking of staying in Blenheim and biking to Renwick wineries, it might be better to stay in Renwick.

The location was wonderful, the hosts Hugh and Caro were very welcoming and even helped us to book reservations for dinner and gave us a lift into town. The breakfasts prepared by Caro was excellent, we both enjoyed our time greatly.
