For travellers have enough local currency, Ecobank was helpful to my Euros however we waited long in the queue. Ensure you have all documentation needed to be in Lome. Good transportation. Visit Kwalime waterfalls, the beach and Aneho. Local people were very nice.

I love the beaches that is around everywhere in Lomé with...
I love the beaches that is around everywhere in Lomé with their free entrance and no harassment from anyone in the beach. Sitting by the beach was relaxing and calming watching the waves flow. I also love my experience at Kpalime waterfalll. I saw beautiful butterflies. The people are nice and ready to help even with the Language barrier, I still enjoyed my stay.

Wonderful city, neat and people, they are lovely and very accommodating. I love the street food but there are few up market restaurants for wonderful dining. The beach is a must visit location as well as the central market.

Lomé and Cotonou are completely off the tourist trail.
Lomé and Cotonou are completely off the tourist trail. This means every experience you have is genuine, and memorable. French West Africans are very friendly and gregarious by nature and colourful dress. Good for a couple of days exploration before heading inland, or along the coast.

nice and interesting tribal ceremonies found on the way back to Lome. The street markets are of interest and very friendly people. Bring small gifts to the kids and they'll not mind taking their photos (important tip for photographs)
