A short distance from breathtaking waterfalls and within driving distance of Hawaii National Volcanoes Park, SCP Hilo Hotel offers comfortable accommodations and a swimming pool. There was complimentary coffee, tea, milk (+almond milk), cold/hot water 24/7. You could also take out beach cruisers/bikes and stand-up paddle boards for free any day. The staff were extremely friendly and gave us personal recommendations on how best to visit the Volcano National Park. They also gave us extra time to check out. They also have daily activities like live music, yoga, and lei making, all provided free of charge. There was also a nice view at the lobby of a koi fish pond with hammocks by the side with a nice, regular, breeze.

We were on a budget which is difficult in Hawaii but this property helped us sleep five comfortably. Very friendly staff at check in. Accommodations were modest but so is the price so that’s ok.
