United StatesA beautifully restored Victorian both inside and out. We stayed in the blue room, it was very comfortable. The street is gorgeous, half a mile of stunning houses and mansions from the same period. We want to distance ourselves from an earlier, harshly critical reviewer who decided to spend the night at a hotel rather than at the property because the street was supposedly unsafe. We simply find this incomprehensible.

Mishawaka is a nice, clean town intertwined with other towns...
Mishawaka is a nice, clean town intertwined with other towns such as Granger, Notre Dame, and South Bend to name a few. It was very easy to get around the various towns with multiple mini-malls and a large mall just down the road. An incredible variety of shopping areas close by as well as restaurants. I would have liked more time for sight-seeing and exploring but was in town for a quick trip to watch a granddaughter in a sporting event.

Niles is a quaint little town definitely growing lots to be done in Niles. Of course it’s not hard to love, Fernwood. That place is fabulous. Also the concerts in the park, Farmer’s market the burn run the different shops downtown the many different eats. Then you have the Riverwalk with your Choice of riding bicycles or walking. And of course you got theater and brew pubs And specialty shops we can’t Leave out the water activities There’s always a lot going on ,a variety of eats all of which are equally good. When in Niles You must add a trip to Good enough pub On Thursday you gotta get those wings and you gotta meet that rocking server Danielle you won’t regret the experience.

Plenty to see and do in area. Nice county parks nearby and plenty things to do; miniature golf, good variety of shopping places and restaurants including "The Chief" a special incream place.

We arrived at the property under difficult circumstances...
We arrived at the property under difficult circumstances that immediately set a negative tone for our stay. We had originally requested early check-in, but were not informed until the morning of arrival that it would not be possible. This left us, with children, scrambling to make last-minute arrangements in 100° weather.
When we finally arrived at the property, it was completely dark outside with no exterior lighting, making it difficult and unsafe to enter using the door code. The walkway to the entrance was also overgrown, leaving very little usable space on the sidewalk.
Once inside, we encountered multiple maintenance and safety issues. Several door knobs were loose or came off entirely during our stay. There was also no running water at times, which significantly impacted our ability to use the home normally. We had to purchase water just to flush toilets, and our family was unable to properly shower or wash up for most of the stay. These issues occurred repeatedly throughout the weekend.
In addition, we noticed cleanliness concerns, including unusual brown marks on the bathroom wall, which raised concerns about how thoroughly the property had been cleaned. We also observed bugs inside the home.
Overall, the property did not meet basic standards of safety, cleanliness, or functionality, and these issues significantly affected our stay and our family’s comfort.
Which is too bad because we had a wonderful time with relatives and there’s quite a few fun activities to do in the area if we had more time

One lamp didn’t work clock/radio didn’t work. Room smelled like smoke. Sheets were dirty. Screaming kids half the night in hallways. Tv only worked half the time. What a nightmare

St. Patrick's County Park was an awesome park with lots to...
St. Patrick's County Park was an awesome park with lots to do for the kids, we even hiked a bit down to the river. Notre Dame was not to far also and very nice to be able to walk around the campus as its open to the public. Strikes & Spares Entertainment Center was great fun for the kids and adults, we did mini putt and go karts. Chic-fil-a was very nice, clean and kids loved it. The lady at the counter let the girls go in back so they could make their own ice cream cones.
