I loved all the staff, starting when we arrived. The valet service was friendly and help with our bags, always one step ahead in providing assistance. I have to use a wheel chair, they help my wife take it down from the truck, very helpful. The staff in the registration desk, also very accommodating, since we arrived earlier then the checking in time, they allowed to check in to the room, since it was my 1st visit, I did not pay any extra fees Cheyenne was very helpful and very concerned and made us feel very important. I thank all the of the staff at Chumash Hotel and resort.

The property itself is gorgeous. Such a gorgeous place to relax in the sun and enjoy the beautiful surrounds of the Santa Barbara wine country. The rooms are beautifully curated and homely, and the breakfast was good.

Very romantic property! Common space is charming, free wine tasting hour, welcome drink and nice breakfast (it was simple, but very tasty with one hot dish). We had a room with fireplace - spacious, very cute, clean.

The most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed in. We had 2 rooms and the decor in each was different. It is just so beautiful and unbelievably spacious. The decor in all areas of the hotel is fantastic. No lobby or staff, you receive a code to check in. There is an honor bar which is a great novelty. The bathrooms are stunning, bathrobes and slippers available. I would live here if I could.

I love the area - however, I wanted to purchase some Chumash Indian artifacts - baskets, pottery, jewelry, but didn't see or know where to go to buy them. The Chumash Cultural center/museum was not open, which was a disappointment! I will go back to visit it when it opens! I would go there again - the Cachuma Lake was beautiful! Thanks for a great time!

A lovely and tranquil hotel beautifully situated for wine tasting and touring. We dined at Gathering Table in Solvang. The restaurant was formerly located in the Ballard and we missed having a restaurant and chef onsite.

It's a beautiful fantasy world.

It's a beautiful fantasy world. There is no countryside in California lovelier than the Solvang area. There is nothing like Solvang anywhere - a small town that feels like a fairy tale. Many good restaurants, wine bars and breweries if that's what you like - but there are ample pleasures for other people (families, people not into the night scene, etc.) starting with the simple joy of walking down a long, long, tree-shaded street lined for several blocks in every direction with Danish-themed shops, restaurants, bookstores, parks, etc. It never gets old. There are other things to do nearby - the Santa Ynez mission is lovely, Santa Barbara is 45 minutes away whether you take the coast route or go over the mountain pass, and so forth. We are here right before the end of summer and while there are plenty of people here it never feels crowded nor is traffic ever bad. I haven't heard a cranky voice or a honked horn the whole time we've been here. The locals are very friendly and happy to chat with you or you can simply wander the streets by yourself enjoying how lovely it all is.

I enjoyed the breakfast.

I enjoyed the breakfast. It was a little different each day, which was great. I love that coffee and tea were provided all day if needed. I really did love the bed. The pillows were delight. We ate at Leonardo‘s and the brewhouse. Both were good. We are pizza especially good. My spouse had the Oso Boco delicious. We came for the fest Parker winery annual barbecue for members. Weather was great this trip.

Santa Ynez is a unique Valley, Beautiful with many site seeing ventures to fulfill your adventuresome side. Try your hand at gambling - from slots to video poker. Something for frugal spenders to "The Sky Is The Limits" budgets. Sweet tooth lovers cannot leave without devouring at least a Danish pastry and a late. For wine lovers - you require more than a week-end to taste the fruits-of-the-valleys. I'll drink to that! Feel like a trekking, try sightseeing a couple of notable missions - Santa Ynez has them.

Solvang: a small place, but full of charm

Solvang: a small place, but full of charm Solvang is one of those destinations that doesn't need to be big to be memorable. Its magic lies in the atmosphere: it feels like stepping into a small European village without ever leaving California. This makes it perfect for photos and leisurely strolls. ✔️ The best of Solvang Photography: every corner looks like a Danish movie set. Windmills, wooden facades, Nordic-style signs, flowers—everything looks great. ✔️ Relaxed vibe: it’s not noisy, chaotic, or overly touristy. It feels welcoming. Solvang is ideal for a half-day or full-day trip, especially if you enjoy photography, food, and wine. It’s not a destination for "doing a thousand things," but rather for soaking up the atmosphere, walking around, enjoying good food, and relaxing. It’s a place that leaves you with a lovely feeling: welcoming, picturesque, and unique.

What a great small city, beautiful beautiful place and peaceful I’d live there in a heartbeat if I could You will breathe fresh air which is a huge bonus from where I come from! Just down the street is the infamous Solvang, which is a great place to shop and has lots of yummy places to eat. I like to go down and stroll the shops and hit up a pub and have a hamburger and a beer or a glass of wine. One thing I really like about Buellton, is Solvang is literally less than five minutes down the road. Such an amazing and fun little town! This is where I’m going to come shopping for Christmas presents because the shops there are amazing. You can find something for everyone, even on a budget. There is a trolly too! Wine tasting is so much fun! The candy shops are yummy too!

Lovely little town with quaint stores and charm.

Lovely little town with quaint stores and charm. Loved the Sanger wine house. Ate at Peasants Feast and Coast Range both have Michelin stars and our second time at each. Solvang is very walkable. Olsen's bakery was a favorite for pastries. Many bakeries in the area.

My family and friend groups have been coming to the Buellton/Santa Ynez/Solvang area for wine tasting and events for 30 years. I have been a member of many wineries over the years and love spending time in the area. Favorite wineries include Foxen, Lincourt, Firestone, Brickbarn, Beckman & Brander. We love to eat at Brothers at the Red Barn and Industrial Eats. The Figueroa Mountain Brewery and Firestone Brewery are great places to eat and usually have live music as well. I also love to visit the Clairmont Lavender Farm and buy Olive Oil from Olive Hill.
