Santa Barbara is one of the most charming cities in California that I've been to. When here, make sure you check out the Farmers Market. They just recently moved it, as of end of September. Make sure you ask the locals. If you are a wine drinker, make sure to get over to Los Olivos, which is only a 40 minute drive over the mountains. Make sure to check out Solvang too.
Don't leave Santa Barbara without going whale watching. Be sure to check the schedules to confirm whale watching season.
If you are an architecture buff, your going to love all the spanish style homes and buildings in the area.

Santa Barbara is one of my favorite cities in California.
Santa Barbara is one of my favorite cities in California. It has a nice area for restaurants, bars, and shopping or just sightseeing. The pier is within walking distance as are the beaches. Very upscale but also very comfortable.

A very beautiful Spanish Colonial city. Also very expensive.
A very beautiful Spanish Colonial city. Also very expensive. I would recommend it for a honeymoon or couples. It is called the Riviera of America because of its beauty. Mountains, beaches, and hillside estates. The weather is generally good all year round. Montecito is where the Uber wealthy live. You cannot see the estates, and the beaches are private. If you like a good steakhouse, try Lucky’s in Montecito. The atmosphere and food are great. Also, a pleasant shopping surprise is the sweet village of Summerland, a 10 minute drive from Santa Barbara.

The beaches in Santa Barbara were Beautiful, the area felt safe, there was a variety of attractions to do, and see, you never got bored. There were various Restaurants to choose from, a lot on State Street. Everything was close and covenient, except parking, parking on streets, always seemed to be full. Had to use Parking Garages, which add up after a while. As for Shopping, State Street had many shops, and even shops on the side streets.

I’m biased. I lived in the area most of my life.
I’m biased. I lived in the area most of my life. I don’t like it now. State street is a tourist wasteland. There isn’t an by decent coffee. Wine tasting rooms are all there is, and the beach. It used to feel like a lot less concrete. Now it’s hard to escape.
I now only visit for the food that has managed to survive: Rusty’s Pizza, The Habit, some taco places (the batting cages place is awesome), …The food was the best in the world, imo. Insane value. Not anymore.

SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SPOT. LOVELY CLEAN CITY WITH RICH HISTORY.
SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SPOT. LOVELY CLEAN CITY WITH RICH HISTORY. FABULOUS RESTAURANTS, GREAT FRIENDLY SERVICE EVERYWHERE WE WENT. MANY PLACES WERE WALKING DISTANCE. AMAZING SUNNY 80 DEGREE DAYS EVERY DAY WE WERE THERE. DIVERSE PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD SO RICH CULTURAL EXPERIENCE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. WE TOOK THE TRAIN FROM SAN DIEGO. ABOUT A 5 HOUR TRAIN RIDE AND THEN TOOK UBER/LYFT TO GET AROUND IF WE DIDN'T WALK. TRIED EVERY KIND OF FOOD FROM ITALIAN, SEAFOOD, ASIAN, ALL FABULOUS. GREAT FOR FAMILIES, SINGLES OR HONEYMOON.
My wife and I had a great 2 night stay here in Nov 22. The hotel is in a very central location right in the middle of State Street, the pedestrianized main street in downtown Santa Barbara. It is surrounded by all the downtown shops, bars and restaurants and a short walk to the Funk Zone, West beach and Stearns Wharf and pier. Although it is very central, it was not noisy. The main hotel entrance is impressive, and our room was large, well equipped and very clean. There is also car parking, which is ideal.
The motel room I used was very clean and quiet. I slept very well as the large bed was very comfortable. The bathroom especially the shower were very good with no major issues. The room was well heated. The location was very good as it was within walking distance of Mission Santa Barbara in a very nice area. There was a bus stop right outside the motel so one could easily reach downtown.
Both the man and woman I dealt with were very friendly and helpful.
The staff were very friendly helping us out with early check in. We hired bikes from the hotel for free and loved the freshly baked cookies that they put out in the afternoon. An easy walk to the Santa Barbara beach front. Would definitely recommend.
Huge room size with view of the ocean. Beach was located right across the street, but the hotel was a little far from the main downtown area. The only option to park your car is with the hotel's paid valet. Nice amenities (pool, gym, bocce court).
Beautiful hotel and bedroom
Loved the courtyard , a piece of heaven in super busy Santa Barbara
Nice pool , small but well kept
Super friendly staff especially Chandra
