I stayed one night on 11-27-2024 and I have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions in the past 5 or 6 years. The rooms are always clean and quiet. Beds are comfortable and have 4 pillows, and the television is always in good order...good TV setup. I do not eat breakfast at the hotel (I'm usually out the door early to meet friends for breakfast) but there is a small area in the front lobby where a basic breakfast setup exists. Location is excellent...right off I-35 and also just blocks to the access to Superior WI via Bong Bridge / Highway 2.
Located in Duluth, Comfort Inn Duluth West is 3.1 mi from Lake Superior and the Aerial Elevator Bridge. This hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and continental breakfast. Free WiFi is offered.

It's simple, when you're on the budget, you stay in Superior because Wisconsin is cheaper. Literally. As a resident of Minnesota, I feel like a tax refugee going to WI hahaha.
Duluth is the attraction, and you'll spend enough there.

Love visiting the harbor to watch the ships come in.
Love visiting the harbor to watch the ships come in. There are plenty of restaurants with wonderful food and good service. Lot of road construction going on now so getting around isn't as easy as normal.

It was nice having a room that could sleep 6 for our trip with the grandchildren and also being able to eat breakfast. The pool was useable but the hot tub had too much chlorine and need cleaning so everyones eyes burned.

Superior is quite a nice city.
Superior is quite a nice city. The areas we saw were clean and tidy. It provided us with all the amenities we were looking for. Julie's Family Restaurant was a particularly good place to eat.
We were very pleased with the Richard I Bong veteran's museum and the young lady (a junior in high school) who provided the "Heavy Metal" tour. She was very knowledgeable and helpful.
There is much to see and do around the area, including Bayfield, the Apostle Islands and Ashland, all within about an hour's drive from Superior.

Very interesting town with a great sense of its own history.
Very interesting town with a great sense of its own history. Beautiful architecture and an active waterfront area. Love the many public parks, including Hawks Ridge for seeing migrating birds. Don’t miss the free historical exhibits in the old train depot.

We stayed at the Cobblestone Superior and it was a great choice! The king suite had a full kitchen, which would be great for a longer stay or families looking to save some money by eating in. It was also a really quiet room; in the living room, I could not even hear the TV that was on in the bedroom. We got room service from the Wissota Chophouse and it was AMAZING! Their menu is really interesting, with some eclectic options; fantastic beer and cocktail options as well! The area is improving, I had read there were a lot of vacant shops, but we found a nice coffee shop and some cute boutique shops near the hotel. The Pride parade went right by the hotel, which was awesome! There are a lot of parks nearby so a lot of green area to explore; and Duluth is just a short drive away! If you wanted a fast food option, that was nearby as well.

We visit Duluth every year for City On The Hill Music...
We visit Duluth every year for City On The Hill Music Festival. This time we were there for the Tall Ships Festival Of Sail 2025. So, 2 times in 2025. We ate at Grandma's and Little Angie's - both I would highly recommend!!! We also ate at the Duluth Perkin's - also a great choice!!! We always go to the Portland Malt Shop for Ice Cream or a Malt - delicious, but expect a lengthy wait in line. We took a cruise on the Vista Star, which is always fun and relaxing!!! We visited Two Harbors another day. And went to Burlington Station and Callie's for some unique Fudge - Pistachio, Cookies and Cream, and Cotton Candy flavors, and Popcorn. Love Duluth and the Two Harbors areas!!!
