The property had a two bedroom apartment small but just right a little kitchen with everything you need and rooms were separated in different buildings I loved that.. pretty much had a great time there we even had free breakfast but missed it everytime because the beds were so comfy I didn’t get out of the bed oh and each bedroom had its own bathroom which was a plus for me and livingroom couch bed was a plus as well this little apartment fit all of us at once..

Our other hotel we booked fell below our standards. They had renovations and were randomly shutting off the water. We cancelled our reservation there and were immediately accommodated by embassy staff... specifically Suzzy. Suzzy hooked it up and got us adjoining room. She is an amazing brand ambassador. 1) Confirmed property was pet friendly with Candlewood...
1) Confirmed property was pet friendly with Candlewood Suites but was told post check-in they do not accept cats. I attempted to show the Property Manager the confirmation email I had received but she said "I don't want to look at it."
2) Bathroom toilet would not flush properly the second time it was used. Reported to the Front Desk the evening of the first night of stay and did not see a Maintenance person until 10:00 AM the following day. Once Maintenance was there, they flooded the bathroom floor by overusing a plunger. The Property Manager blamed the flooding on me, even though it was their Maintenance staff who was responsible. The Maintenance person said I had flushed cat litter down the toilet although I certainly did not. The Property Manager charged me for the full stay and would not refund any monies. She gave me an hour to leave the hotel or she would "call the authorities." I had to secure another hotel when that weekend was college graduation and Mother's Day. I am a handicapped senior citizen and this experience was horrific. The Property Manager would not refund any monies on this stay as she said I caused the damage due to the flooding although there was no damage. She said "Well, there could have been." And, again, their Maintenance person caused the flooding. When I was vacating the property, I sat for a moment in the main lounge. Another woman was sitting there, and the Property Manager apologized to her for the problem she had with the plumbing and thanked her for waiting while they prepared another room. Apparently, I wasn't the only guest who had issues. I attempted to return the room card keys to the Property Manager and was told "Don't make a big deal out of it." REALLY? REALLY? Additionally, the property did not provide me with a copy of the bill. I am contemplating filing a lawsuit over these issues.

We go every year for Retrogamecon at the On Center.
We go every year for Retrogamecon at the On Center. But, this year we saw Destiny Mall and the Rosamond Gifford Zoo. I don't have much to say about Destiny, a mall is a mall. It had all the same stores as usual and some nice restaurants. We did not go to the indoor amusements. We just walked around. Rosamond Gifford Zoo was affordable at $36 for 4 adults. I used to go to this zoo many years ago when it was called the Burnett Park Zoo. A lot has changed, it isn't as good as it used to be. But, kids will still like it. The elephant exhibit is much better and more humane than years past. But, the other exhibits aren't as good. Not as many animals. I'm sure there is much more to do in Syracuse, we just haven't tapped them yet as we only stayed 2 days.

The Cicero area is beautiful.
The Cicero area is beautiful. The Salmon River Run Falls north of Cicero was very pretty. Chittenango Falls and the hiking there was awesome. It's a half hour southeast of Cicero. I was a beautiful drive. It was very pretty!!!!

The university area is nice and there are things to do related to that. There are some good restaurants in the area. Overall, the city itself left a lot to be desired. The city is run down, the underpasses are so rusty that they look unsafe, the weather is usually poor, and there isn't a ton to do.

It was the worst night ever.
It was the worst night ever. I arrived late at night if not I would go find another hotel. The bathroom was full of cockroaches. I had to kill a lot of them all night. Now I have to go to a laundromat and wash all my clothes to do not bring cockroaches to my home. I told that staff and they just replay, I am sorry. I left in disgusted that place. Worst cockroaches case I have ever had to endure.
They should refund my payment.
Worst I have ever seen in that hotel. And I was a customer that stayed there in the past. Never again

Overall I enjoyed our stay.
Overall I enjoyed our stay. The Front Desk Clerk that greeted me upon my arrival for chevk -in was so pleasant & very personable and professional. The room was very clean & presentable. However, the bed unfortunately was not comfortable 😞 as also the pillows. But I can add I advised management and they were very welcoming of my feelings and comments. It was expressed that this issue will be corrected. I can share that I do recommend Guests to definitely keep in mind to be a guest at this hotel. Much Smilz !!!

Convenient location to major highways - whether going west to Rochester on I90 or I81 north or south or simply overnighting waiting for flights. If visiting Syracuse, easy to get to downtown; Destiny Mall; Finger Lakes Outlets in Waterloo.

I already reviewed this property. Like I said, the room set up was nice, the breakfast was great, but the mildew in the room was horrendous. I am surprised Booking.com would promote this property as they should’ve known about this mildew. I looked up “mildew” at this hotel, and their had been prior reports) This questioned me working with booking.com. And the pull out sofa was basically springs with a lot of stains… Gross!
This follow up review is after I got home when looking to see if they refunded my deposit, they took a SECOND deposit. Now I have to work on getting that back. Luckily there was in my account to not cause a further problem.

Check in was great. Friendly staff and very informative. When I got to the 3rd floor where my room was, all I noticed was used bed sheets all over the hallway beside most room doors. It was a mess. I got into my room and when I sat on the bed (As we always do to test it out) lol, It felt like the bed was going to fold on me. Way too soft.

Not really suitable for visitors without cars. For example a 'downtown' hotel was a good half mile from any sign of activity. Bars, restaurants, shops.
The UBER service was good.

My sister and I stayed here for a night before an early flight out of SYR. The front desk person was warm and efficient, the ambiance and location were great, and the rooms very clean. Close to lots of restaurant choices for dinner and a quick jaunt on the highway to the airport. I like hotels that are unique, and this fit the bill. It was perfect for our needs and I'd make the same choice again.
