The owner was very responsive and friendly. The property is easily accessible by car and safe. Very nice chill garden, we wish we had some time and the weather helped to enjoy it. Clean and cosy Saint Emilion village is a must try. Highly recommended!

This was the last stop on our bike tour around the Bordeaux region before returning to Bordeaux itself. We had stayed in some amazing and different accommodation along the way and this was no exception. What a lovely place to finish on. Aircon everywhere, great kitchen facilities, big plush lounge to flop on, very comfy beds and most of all, a great enclosed terrace that was such a pleasure to use. Location is spot on for access to the town centre and all the shops and restaurants. Communication was excellent with Celine who made sure we were settled in. High on anyone’s list for stays in Libourne.

The apartment was very tastefully furnished and well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable one-week stay, with added benefits of a huge home-cinema screen with surround sound, and a jacuzzi! Air-conditioning in all rooms was a bonus too. The kitchen was also well equipped with everything we needed to prepare simple meals (e.g. omelettes for breakfast) using an electric cooker (although there's no proper stove or oven, so don't expect to be able to cook sophisticated dinners, which we were not planning to do anyway, so it was not a problem for us). Other plusses included the little balcony to sit on in the morning sunshine and the secure parking for our car (behind an electronically controlled gate). Brigitte and her husband were fantastic hosts who made us feel very welcome and were not intrusive. They also gave us some good tips about things to visit and restaurants to try out in the area. Merci beaucoup! :-) The location was also very good, being situated on the eastern edge of Fronsac and a very short distance from Libourne (which has many shops and restaurants to choose from - we'd particularly recommend the Bistro Maritime for dinner, but make sure you book in advance). It's also only about 10 minutes by car from the Pomerol area and the wonderful Saint-Émilion is about 14 minutes away, so it was an ideal base for exploring the winery châteaux of the region (Bordeaux itself is a 40-minute drive away, which is easily doable as a day trip, but you'd probably want to be closer to Bordeaux if you want to explore the 'rive gauche' wine areas of Médoc, Pauillac, Saint-Estèphe, Margaux, etc.)
