We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Rakuten Stay Fujimi Terrace Hakone Ashinoko — easily one of the nicest accommodations during our 3-week trip across Japan. The room was packed with thoughtful amenities: a stocked fridge with water, tea, beer, cheese, and meats, plus a telescope, washer/dryer, and even cozy pajamas. But the highlight was the private onsen bath on the terrace, with breathtaking views of Lake Ashi, the torii gates, and even Mt. Fuji on a clear day. We lucked out and got an clear view of Fuji! It was a perfect, peaceful retreat after the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. Though the property is unstaffed, check-in was seamless via the iPad in the room or online ahead of time. The area is quiet after 5pm with most restaurants/stores closed, but there's a 7-Eleven right across the street. Access was easy — just a 2-minute walk from the pier/station, with options to arrive by Pirate Boat or bus. We only wish we could’ve stayed longer. A truly relaxing and memorable experience!

Very close to make Ashinoko and the Pirate Ship port. You stay at the heart of Hakone. On the last day we were lucky to wake up with the view of Mt. Fuji on our windows. Traditional japanese style, with floor beds like futon, sliding doors.

Self check in process is easy. You get a pass code for the key lockbox on the day you check in. The room is clean and good space for family of 4. The sofa is comfortable. The price is cheaper compare to other similar places in the area. But, It is better to pay more to get a better place.

A perfect place to stay! Easy remote check-in. Very spacious, with two large and comfortable bedrooms upstairs and a cozy living room downstairs—offering both privacy and space for everyone. Located in a quiet area. The fridge is stocked with complimentary welcome drinks. The living room is clean, well-organized, and very comfortable. Everything is stylish and modern. There’s a parking lot right next to the entrance. It’s best to arrive by car. Plenty of restaurants just a few minutes’ drive away.
