Lovely place, I cannot recommend it highly enough. Super apartment and beautiful garden adjacent to the river. Great place to relax and just watch the river go by. Daphne is an excellent host and even arranged horse riding for me.

This accommodation is a piece of heaven on earth. In search of peace, natural beauty and at the same time also accessibility to all important infrastructure, one can relax and forget about time. Outstanding internal space, super clean, equiped with all needed accessories inside and spacious green surroundings all to yourself to enjoy and relax without distractions. Outgoing and loving landlords will show you all the secret beautiful spots and make you feel more than welcome and you simply must try the local breakfast basket that includes products from the surrounding farmers.

Everything was just great. Despite we arrived late due to the extreme wheather condition in Slovenia at that time, they were so kind and waiting for us patiently. And of course cognac on the table was a real surprise after the long journey. Next surprise was the view from the window when we woke up in the morning. Horses on the yard, cottage surrounded by the mountains and sound of the river flowing by the side was fascinating. And last but not least, homemade syrup was given during our departure was tasty.

Our hostess was super friendly and helpful. The apartment was according to description in a quiet but still pretty central location. We would stay again if we are coming again to Idrija.

My wife and I stayed 1 night, arriving by rental car at 2PM and parking in front. We met the owner as he was ready to close up his butcher shop. After copying our passports and vaccinations, discussing our vegetarian breakfast, he escorted us to our accommodation. Ground floor apartment #2 was fully tiled with a nicely outfitted kitchenette (2 burner countertop) opposite a small kitchen table with a small refrigerator, bathroom with good hot water, soaps and shower. The separate bedroom was spacious with 2 twins put together, a small shelf desk and very small wall TV (lots of channels-no easy to use guide (found FOX/SKY and a few others in English), and a small opening window. The kitchen space is unhandy with the bedroom and bathroom doors encroaching on the tightly spaced table with 2 small low stools. The 7:30 AM breakfast buffet was on the other side of the building in a dedicated room; juice, eggs, breads, cereals, cheeses with coffee/tea, salad and apples. Plenty of meat would have been provided if we were not vegetarian. The location was perfect with the Spar supermarket 280m south, the Anthony's Shaft Mining Museum across the street and the Grad Gewerkenegg 400m north. Overall this 300 year old house was a good value stay.
