United StatesDon't look any further for staying in Nukus--this apartment is the best! We stayed at a hotel highly recommended by our guidebook the first night in Nukus, then we did the Aral Sea adventure, and stayed in this apartment afterward. What a difference! The hotel was so plain and ordinary and cost $67 US. This apartment is huge, super-clean, nicely decorated, and cost almost 40% less. And it's in a great location right across from the famous art museum and about a 10-minute walk to the big bazaar. Plus, the Owner is such a great guy--he did undergraduate and graduate studies in USA on a wrestling scholarship. (We would have loved to invite him to dinner to get to know him better, but our taxi was coming and we had to leave.) A great experience and we wished we had stayed longer to enjoy the living room with huge TV and the fully-equipped kitchen.
It's a no-brainer--stay here!

Two large bedrooms, one with air conditioning, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a huge living room with comfy sofas and a large table. It also has a balcony and the drying rack to dry your laundry outside. I would totally recommend to stay there if you come to Nukus: exceptional value for money.
