Since we walked from the airport, it was a perfect location for us (on the street into town). Blackout curtains help keep out the morning light. There's a kitchenette with enough utensils to cook a simple meal. An air conditioner worked well and came in handy during a sandstorm.

Extremely clean, super big rooms, very comfortable, great location. Has everything you need! The owners are a gem!!! Dila organized for us a tour of the island and she let us do a late check out, which was super convenient because we were flying from Sal at 7 pm, so we could enjoy the beach and then take a shower. I strongly recommend staying here, especially if you’re not a fan of resorts like me but still want to be in a great accommodation. I only have good things to say about this place. You’ll love it! The hosts are so friendly and helpful, arranging everything for me and even taking the time to walk me to the colectivo station so I could get a cheaper ride back to the airport than possible with a taxi. The apartment itself has everything you need and there is a great grocery store around the corner, plus countless good restaurants and coffee shops in east walking distance. You get all the benefit of Santa Maria’s amenities without feeling cloistered in a resort.

Some units feature a seating area and/or a terrace. This is the perfect place to enjoy the beach and town of Santa Maria. A few years ago we visited Sal and noticed Villa ao Mar when walking along the beach, we kept it in mind for future trips as it looked like an incredible spot to stay. It didn't disappoint. We would have loved an apartment with a view of the beach, but they were already booked for our dates. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment on the third floor facing the street, and still had a view of the beach from our apartments' rooftop terrace, which we had private access to! The roof top is a great spot for sun bathing and watching the sunset. Even though it is super central, a block from the main strip of Santa Maria with many shops, bars and restaurants, it was a lovely and quiet accommodation. We have a toddler, and love the beach, but didn't want to have to walk far. This was perfect, there is a walkway through the building with beach access. The customer service of staff was fantastic, super friendly and helpful, both pre arrival and throughout our stay. They provided us with a cot, high chair and kitchen ware for our child which was really appreciated. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed to cater for ourselves and was spacious for the three of us. They also offer a laundry service for a fee which we took advantage of. The accommodation exceeded our expectations and we were really happy with our choice. We plan to stay here again in future and will book well in advance to secure one of the ocean facing apartments.

For added privacy, the accommodation has a private entrance and is protected by full-day security. The place is beautiful and quite. We arrived at approximately midnight and a security guy helped us with the apartment keys. The apartment was clean and it had a lot of house appliances, including a Washing machine. Special Thanks to Agnes, the landlady; we had several issues with flught to arrive at Sal and we stayed less nights than expected. She supported us and keeping the booking despite all the inconvinience

Providing free WiFi throughout the property, the non-smoking aparthotel has a public bath. Apartment is really spacious, has two bedrooms and bright living room with kicthen. You can buy a fresh fish in the pier nearby and cook at home. Kitchen is equipped with all necessary. There is a fresh pool just outside of the apartment and its not noisy. Center of Santa Maria is 10.min walk where you can have all restaurants and bars. Host Joao is very caring and friendly.
