Honestly, it's one of the greatest spots and places I've stayed in Japan. Throws you back to a family house you never had with all the nostalgia of how i imagine weekends away were as a child at grandparents or aunts. The location, township, and people, especially our host, were nothing short of amazing

Very beautiful home. Everything is picture-perfect. There is a small kitchen and fridge which you can use. There is an O2 box also which looked fascinating. However, as my stay was very short, so I didn't have time to use it. A very large bedroom is on the 2nd floor. It has 1 double bed and 2 single beds, perfect for a family trip.

At the aparthotel, each unit is fitted with bed linen and towels. We got the zoo themed room with four beds (not a bunk bed and 2 beds). The kids absolutely loved the decor. It was the largest room we've had in Japan so far with a sleeping area, lounge, kitchen, wardrobe and bathroom. We loved the washing machine and drying function in the bathroom which made it very easy to wash and dry all our clothes. There are no plates or cutlery in the room but the staff are happy to provide disposable ones upon request.

With a shared bathroom equipped with a bidet and a hair dryer, units at the apartment complex also offer free WiFi. All units will provide guests with a wardrobe and a kettle. The owner is super nice kind and lovely!! We came wet from the rain and he helped me dry my shoes with special dryer, he gave us to use bikes (with electric assistant) for free, there is a parking space close to the guesthouse but the owner also provide shuttle to center Takayama - so also it is far from the center (about 30 min walk), with the bikes and the shuttle it didn't feel this way. The kitchen was equipped, and the owner gave us bottles of water and didn't let us pay! He is a very sweet guy and we had a really good experience in this guesthouse that was also very very clean and affordable!!

Built in 2018, Itomori is located a 7-minute walk form JR Takayama Station. The old town of Takayama is 6 minutes on foot, while Takayama Jinya is a 10-minute stroll.
