Our stay at Sunset Haven was simply unforgettable – and that’s entirely thanks to Chris, our exceptional host. From the moment we booked until long after we left, Chris took care of every detail with genuine warmth and dedication. He arranged our car rentals, pulled off what we considered “miracles,” planned trips for us, and gave invaluable tips on what to see, where to eat, and how to truly enjoy the island like a local. The villa itself was absolutely lovely – spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and so well-equipped that we had absolutely everything we needed. Chris even welcomed us with food and drinks to get us through our first day after a long journey – a gesture that’s rare, even for seasoned travelers like us. We truly felt like we were staying with family rather than at a rental property. After Mahe, we continued our journey to Praslin and went on trips recommended and booked by Chris – but we must admit, we missed the comfort and care of his villa every day. If we ever return to the Seychelles, there will be absolutely no question about where we’ll stay. This apartment is non-smoking and soundproof. I like everything about the property, it’s just a home. Very comfortable and nice. 3 minutes walk to the grocery store, 7 minutes walk to the beach. Everything is swiftly accessible.

Jardin Du Roi Spice Garden is 2.9 km from the apartment and Domaine de Val des Pres - Craft Village is 5.2 km away. the location is perfect, it might not very close to the beach (10-12 min walk) but you live in the pure nature; the owner Lisa is very friendly and helpful. The appartment is spacious enough and with the equiped verranda; the bed is so comfortable, the air-condition works without any noise. There is no any noise outside, just the birds and bats)). Lisa is very skillful in cooking. If once she offers you to cook something for you, don't doubt and agree! She makes delisious fish.

Clean with all the amenities you need. Comfortable bed and friendly staff. They were professional in every aspect. The best accommodation we stayed at three islands. Maje, praslin and La dique. 5 minutes drive from Victoria and the port. The airport is a bit further away. We stayed in Maje for 4 nights when we arrived in Seychelles and 1 night before departure. Spent 2 nights in anse Royale (south east) where I can say is slightly better as location but nothing exceptional. I think it is better anse etoile as the whole package. You definitely need a car for a couple of days to explore the whole island but we did rent for the 4 days. Buses are comfortable and easy to go around if you already visited the places and you know where and what to do. My tip as advice for Maje island is to book a stay at Phoenix apartments arrange a shuttle service from the hotel or get a taxi. The price is the same or maybe slightly cheaper from the hotel.rent a car and explore the whole island (best price they offer is 50 per day). For us the best beach for swimming by far was 1: anse petite and anse Soleil if there are not waves 2: grand anse and anse Royale 3: anse sunset and beau vaulon are worth visiting. Don't bother to cook food by yourself. Products are expensive even in the mini markets. You can order take away from restaurants or use the local canteens. you can found one in beau vaulon. Price 5 to 15 euros per person. My fair opinion for Seychelles for the 3 main islands. You can spend 12 to 14 nights. We did 14 nights. 5 total nights on Maje. 5 nights Praslin and 4 nights La dique. As for the quality of the beaches I preferred La dique (grand anse and petite anse) Praslin only anse Lazio and the au de cot.
