A hotel with a very high service culture and a high level of service. The service staff is fantastic in everything. Excellent breakfast in the restaurant with a nice view of the pool and the jungle. Of course, nature views from the room and the superb pool. The flower bath in the room was charming. The room is spacious enough with an elegant design. We loved it. The terrace-like balcony with a bathtub and a view of the jungle is wonderful. On the other side of the hotel, across the street, or by walking to the left, you can enjoy the green rice fields and a walk along the tourist street and path. There are cafes with local food and delicious fresh juices. . A place where I would definitely like to return....if a transfer to the city is provided.

An Island Dream

We stayed in Room 201, which featured a private pool and an overhanging net perfect for lazing about. The view from the room was absolutely captivating—Mount Agung, its surrounding valley, and the padi fields were simply stunning. We visited several other establishments in the area, and by far, we think Patal Kikian offers the best views. The staff deserve special mention as well. They were amazing, with prompt responses to our requests via WhatsApp. Both the spa experience and the guided walking tours were exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and it ranks among the most relaxing experiences we’ve ever had.

A true gem of a hotel. I'm so happy to have found it. The room was beautiful and cleaned daily. I loved the outdoor bathroom. The staff here are truly amazing, they go above and beyond to ensure that you have a great stay. The owner comes around to meet all the guests which is a lovely touch. Breakfast was included and delicious with lots of choices and an amazing view from the hilltop. The pools were lovely and there were lots of little places to relax in the grounds. A really tranquil and peaceful stay.

Staff were fabulous. Location exactly what we wanted, quiet and very relaxing. The staff were very attentive to our every needs, and went above and beyond. We would stay here again for sure. It is expensive but for us was worth the money. The breakfast was excellent and varied, and the restaurant in the hotel and the Teppanyaki were top class.

Ubud is my favourite place I’ve visited in Bali.

Ubud is my favourite place I’ve visited in Bali. Apart from no beaches there is something for everyone. We were there to attend sessions at The Pyramids of Chi and it was amazing. I find the locals are a lot friendlier and happy to chat in Ubud more that the busier places. There are so many cultural activities, wellness places, arts and crafts. It is hilly and sometimes difficult to navigate but there is plenty of transport. We stayed away from the Monkey forest. Lots of places to eat and the food is delicious and reasonably priced.

Seminyak was super easy to walk around the whole time, or jump on a bike or get in a taxi. Heaps of shops to explore, or a very easy walk to the beach to watch the beautiful sunset. Restaurants i highly recommend include: Breakfast: Sisterfields (we ate here every single day) Dinner: Estia, Ginger Moon, Chandi, Italian Job, Bossman Burgers

Getting better every year. Apa Kabar and Titties both great sports bars to watch the football finals; Jepun and Hanabi, a little Japanese resto were both excellent. Izakaya a great meeting place for expats.

It took me 8 hours to travel from Gilmauk ferry port (across from Java) to Kuta. God help me, I never want to set foot on Bali ever again. All these idiot Instagram influencers showing you pictures of beautiful places in Bali never tell you have many days they spent sitting in traffic jams to get there.

Though it is a certainly a road trip to forget, traffic-wise, Uluwatu is a gem hiding far from the bustling over-crowded towns of Sanur etc... That's not to say it doesn't experience overcrowding itself, it's obviously very popular, especially with the surfing fraternity. The clift-top bars are amazing and the night life in town with its magnificent restaurants and bars is just as wonderful. Shout out to Ana, their halloumi dish is to die for!

We stay here every time we head to Bali. It is a great stay and central to everywhere in Legian and Kuta. It is reasonably cheap but certainly is better than some others in the area. The hotel itself was updated and modernized about 12 months ago. The new breakfast and dining area sits alongside the pool and bar and has lovely breezes that flow through. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. You can also get fantastic massages there with their built-in salon on the first floor. The food from the restaurant is 24/7 and everything we have had there has been well priced and very nice. Biggest thing for us is that the staff have been amazing. Chris, the Manager here, floats around and ensures that your holiday is amazing and is a wealth of knowledge of Bali. He runs a good crew who are always very helpful. Can't wait to go stay again!

Nusa Dua is a great place to stay. Very safe. We walked along in the night with our kids. Got pedicures and massages from Ampara Spa and had dinner at Kudo Garden. Very tasty and clean. Such an incredible experience.

A beautiful island with a chill and quiet vibe. Lots to do with variety of activities to suit all needed and wants. Lots of good accomodation options across the island, from private secluded villas to fancy hotels on Jungutbatu beach. Definitely worth staying for a few nights, we only did 2 and could have easily done 4.

A island that is away from the busy Bali.

A island that is away from the busy Bali. Here people are patient, wait inline during traffic congestion with blaring their horn. Only here for diving so did not explore the place very much. Good the rent motorbike to get around. Paid 150K for 2 days and hardly clock 30 KM. Not complaining as there is not much to do here except diving.
