The views were stunning the staff were great always on point fast and helpful. The food was above all the other 5 star resorts while visiting Bali and also were the staff. Speed is something we noticed at other but not here, it’s was truly fast and a high quietly service. The only thing that could of made it better was maybe some live music but I understand not all people may want this. Kind regards James Jackson

Our stay at Terra Cottages was wonderful. The location (which we thought was the best area in Ulu), the breakfast especially the fresh orange juice and the welcoming and kind staff. Do take the long stairs down to Bingin beach and enjoy a nice open fire bbq dinner by the beach.

The staff was fabulous. My friend I travelled with has some slight walking problems. The staff was always there to assist if needed. Always offered additional food or even a lunch box for the plane we were leaving on. Always helpful - if the AC in the room was too cold or too hot, or needed additional water or towels, ALWAYS RIGHT THERE. GREAT STAFF.

Everything will be served by your butler. The room service food was fantastic. Every food I ordered arrived fast, and every single dish was fresh and delicious. They 've got a good chef. Hendra, my butler, was very nice and kind. He helped with every little thing I needed even cleaning, serving food, and taking to new places in the resort. He knew what I needed. The ocean view...the swimming pool... people... everything is fantastic! I 'd love to come and visit again soon.

It is the best resort I have ever stayed at. You have a warm welcome from the entrance, during checkin you have a drink, everything is explained to you in details about the resort, and later about your room and the services. Staff is very kind and reactive. The breakast was delicious with a wide choice and same for dinner ! Then the pools, the jacuzzi, the view, everything was perfect, thank you ! I can't wait to visit again !

Loved the service of the hotel. The view from the hotel was amazing, with Mount agung seen from the hotel. The room was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and we also got a 15 minute free foot massage. Our room also had a lounge area where we could chill and enjoy the amazing view.

Just learn how to bargain and don’t settle for the price price they quote to you as being a foreigner in Asian country is always a door for scammers. Survey the pricing in that area and pay. I don’t blame them it’s just how the expectation is on us as tourists and foreigners. The get extremely happy when you speak their language. I guess I’m lucky in that.

If you want peace and relaxation, Kuta is now the place.

If you want peace and relaxation, Kuta is now the place. Why???? Becaise.the young rowdy crowd are now flooding north to busy, overcrowded, noisy , gridlocked Changuu (sic), where traffic and footpath crowds are out of control. If you like the hustle, hassle and bustle, by all means, hit Northern Seminyak and Changgu, but if not, Kuta (surprisingly) is for you.

Busy and touristy but easy to find hidden gems with lots of charm. I recommend getting off main roads, go up arcades to find small cafes. Ask locals for their restaurants recommendations. Visit the beach bars (guys on the beach selling beers and coconuts). Download Bluebird app for easy and cheap taxis

I particularly like the Sanura area because of the lack of nightclubs which makes it quieter and safer for families and older people. I sincerely hope that whoever makes the decisions as to what is built there, keeps that in mind. If Sanur goes the way of Kuta, Semimak or Legion, which provides loud music and noise for the younger people, it will lose the patronage of the more mature people, who incidently spend the most money there.

Uluwatu is great for quality views, restaurants and people.

Uluwatu is great for quality views, restaurants and people. Bambu fitness was great and the views from the cliff, which in my opinion is better during the rainy season or winter as the wind and waves are strong and a bit hot during summer.

Canggu does not feel like the authentic Bali experience.

Canggu does not feel like the authentic Bali experience. It is very busy, with heavy scooter traffic, crowded streets, and noticeable air pollution. For travelers over 30 who are looking for a more relaxed atmosphere, I would personally recommend Ubud or Uluwatu instead.

It’s a crazy, hectic place to stay.

It’s a crazy, hectic place to stay. I found it mentally and spiritually depleting and left early. Once you get out of the hotel you are hassled non stop by bike riders, taxis, massage parlours, stall holders. There’s even an old lady at the beach that stand and stares at you with the evil eye for a few minutes if you don’t buy from her. You even get hassled in restaurants. I have had people swear at me in Balinese if I don’t buy from them and some of the sellers are unscrupulous. I’d never go to Legian again. Scammers everywhere but also some lovely people as well but just crazy. I came home early.

Nusa Dua has a nice tidal beach pensinsula it has possibly been over fished and damaged that it is eroding in places, there are calm and rough seas depending on where you go. It was interesting to see Bali's new moon celebrations and dancing. A safe place to travel and an easy area to go to relax, enjoy weather and beach or pool. We had a driver to guide us to the best places to visit, which would recommend.

Absolutely love this island and I can't wait to come back and visit there is still so much more for me to see! The people were so kind and welcoming. I felt so relaxed during my time here. Highly recommend!
