Ideal rural location on the coast with a great view. Wish we had more time to enjoy the place, including the breakfast/dining room area and other nooks and crannies of the house. Hosts were very accommodating and friendly. Only 45 minutes from the Scrabster Ferry terminal.

Detta is a wonder! She ( and tradespeople) lovingly restored a Mansion built in the Highlands in 1854. Ultra clean and well kept, extremely spacious room, modern bathroom and bed. Small but very well equipped kitchen, a must as its a good drive to food in Thurso. Bring a nice bottle of wine and something microwavable /bakeable, or cook from scratch as we did. Gorgeously kept, extensive gardens! Fabulous locations for short or extensive walking in our 3 days here.
