Totora Surf Hostel is a recently renovated guest house in Huanchaco near Huancarute. We had the most AMAZING time at Totora Surf School and it was very hard to leave after three weeks! The rooms and property were always clean and organised and the view of the ocean is spectacular. Great value for money. But what made our stay so wonderful were the people! Laura and Diego are wonderful people and the care they put into their business is obvious. They went out of their way to make my stay comfortable and were especially kind and attentive to my dog Colt who would be very happy if we stayed forever! :) Their surf school team are all great people and Colt and I were happy to leave having made a bunch of new friends!

Very clean apartment, well-equiped kitchenette, fast and pretty stable internet. Located 1 minute walking from the ocean, in front of the surf spot. Close to food stores and restaurants. I stayed here working "from home" and surfing and it was just great.

Jorge was a great host, always worried about our well being and helping in every way possible. This is a simple stay, but definitely a very good option in a place like Huanchaco.

A 5-minute walk from Huancarute in Huanchaco, Travelers' House Casa Hospedaje provides accommodations with access to a fitness room and public bath. It was a comfortable place to rest as I got over a cold. The beach is a five minute walk and there are grocery stores, restaurants and fruit stands within a couple of blocks. Very convenient, and Angel is a tremendous host. Very kind and helpful.

Only daylight is from 2 small courtyards in middle of building. The washing machine and drying line on roof - great views over the beach. The beds are comfortable with bedside lamps and power points. The shower not very powerful but there is hot water. There are restaurants nearby and lots more a short walk into town. Communication was good.
