Everything Once there, we immediately felt at home. We were very warmly welcomed, we were shown the house and our room. There was a handwritten card waiting for us, with which we were once again welcomed. I can not even write down all the little attentions. We were cared for the whole stay. We were really sad when our stay was over. This accommodation alone is worth another trip to the USA. I hope this is not the last time we have been there.

23 km from Funtown Splashtown USA, White Sails Inn is a recently renovated property set in Kennebunk and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. This accommodation was by far the nicest on our entire Indian Summer road trip. The interior is incredibly beautiful, with love for detail. The rooms are fantastic and everything is in extremely clean condition. But the best thing about this accommodation is the kindness of the owners. Incredibly good service, amazingly nice and give tips to explore the location. Hardly ever had such a great place to stay on our many trips. Unfortunately we were only there one night on our trip. But we will be back and then stay longer and make day trips from there to the area. Greetings from Austria to Kennebunk ;)

Offering a garden and garden view, Marston House Wiscasset is located in Wiscasset, 19 km from Coastal Maine Botanical Garden and 31 km from Bowdoin College. Our room (2) was a good size and tastefully furnished. The bed was very comfortable. Both the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and the fluffy towels were changed daily. Breakfast was beautifully presented in picnic hamper and delivered by Francoise, our gracious host, either to our room or set up in the garden, depending on the weather. It contained yoghurt, granola and stewed apple together with a warm scone and jams.

Paws on Pelham is set in Newport, 1.3 km from King Park Beach, 1.5 km from Easton's Beach, and 2.9 km from Belmont Beach. I liked that the property was close to everything, that the room was clean, that the breakfast was delicious and that the place was cozy.

Set in Kennebunkport, within 3.7 km of Maine Art Gallery Framing and 4 km of Mast Cove Galleries, Waldo Emerson Inn offers accommodation with free WiFi throughout the property. Where to begin? How often do you get to stay in a home over 200 years old. All the imperfections of time noted as nothing in this home was level while it continues to fight against gravity. The owners were the nicest of people thinking of the smallest details. I was greeted by Amelia and taken to our room with our names on the door. The room was spectacular with wide board floors creaking ever so slightly. The attention to detail from the bed to the pillows, linens, and towels were noted by girlfriend and myself. Nothing here was left to chance! The community rooms were well thought out with offerings to comfort all. My only regret is I did not stay longer. Soon to be remedied on my next visit.
