Beach Hotels in Cocles

The villa was clean and well equipped. The staff was very polite and friendly. They made us feel right at home!

It was cozy, private, and in the middle of nature. I loved the place.

I believe this is one of the best places to stay when visiting Puerto Viejo, I'll definitely visit it again. On the other hand, the prices of food outside are increasingly higher, however this place has everything you need to cook, we Costa Ricans love to prepare food and share it at the table all together. The administrator let us enter earlier(earlier check-in) so we could leave our things and thus take advantage of the day we arrived, for me this is a big plus, the room was already ready, clean, and very cozy.

Very nice place very clean and close to the town

Perfect place for a long term stay! It’s squeaky clean, comfortable beds, full kitchen with a lot of appliances (stove, coffee maker, microwave, rice cooker, panini press, a grill plate thing that I didn’t use, etc). The AC was super effective. Hot water with good water pressure. No bugs in the house! I’d get a couple ants but only if I leave the food out. The staff were amazing! Very quick to respond and address any questions or issues I had. They even let me use their laundry since I was staying for almost 2 months. Overall an excellent stay at a very low price for this tourist area. Lots of beautiful wildlife around!!

With two fans, the place was never hot even with the amount of heat and humidity outside being through the roof. The kitchen was fully equipped, it had a electric stove, fridge, dishes, pans, even a traditional coffee maker and a water heater. It was really appreciated that it had some ground coffee and black tea supplies, along with sugar and salt. The bathroom had shampoo and hand soap, also two towels. In addition to that he offered us an extra blanket. The whole place is full of mesh to keep the mosquitoes away. I loved how it has a private entrance and a little private patio with two nice chairs and also a thingy where you can put your clothes to dry. It was also really good that it had a shower outside to not bring any sand inside the room. It also has an outdoor table where you can enjoy your breakfast while watching the nature around you, simply awesome. Frederick is one of the nicest host, no, nicest people I have ever met. If my stay was longer I would just take hours to sit and chat with him, he showed me a little pond he made with his own hands and I was able to spot a little red frog. The place is full of wild life, you can hear howler monkeys in the distance, there are all kinds of birds and we even spotted several armadillos around the street next to the room. The cherry on top is Horacio, Fredericks dog, he is the cutest dog ever we missed him so much when we left, you couldn't imagine how we feel about that doggo until you meet him. Some other things that really showed that he cares for the people staying is how he had a drawer with some games to play, like dominoes and chess. A really nice touch was also the little brochure you will find on the room that has stories about him, about the place and useful guides that help you find where to eat, rent a bicycle and a lot more, it was really wholesome.

Good place and the owner was kind

The house is exceptionally good. Lots of balconies, a nice huge patio, kitchen. Tons of space. You can hear and see birds and monkeys around. In fact, you are right in the middle of Costa Rican biodiversity....The beach is also not far and there are some restaurants and sodas nearby.

Quiet place surrounded by nature just a short walk from Puerta Viejo (you can take the bus or walk). Amazing atmosphere thanks to the sounds of the jungle, which we loved listening to in the evening and morning. The accommodation has a nice natural design, which is pleasantly complemented by warm lighting and a hammock, which is included in the equipment. We observed hummingbirds, toucans and sloths in the nearby area. The beaches, local restaurants and market are a short walk away. The accommodation is well-equipped and you can cook your own meals using local ingredients.

The location was amazing. The place was just right. The private pool it’s an extra that we appreciated.

This is a nice little house is in a great location near the supermarkets in Cocles. It has a well equipped kitchen with lots of small appliances and the property has a nice garden plus there is a very comfortable bed in the small bedroom and an outdoor shower. The host is very friendly and the location around the house has lots of birds

We loved the open house concept. It was isolated, beautiful and peaceful.

It was an amazing stay, the owners were available if we needed help. It was accesible to Cocles beach in 5 minutes by car. Delicious restaurants nearby and supermarkets as well

The host is truly a lovely person and always helpful whenever I had a question. The access to the beautiful beach is great! And the property is amazingly beautiful. Close access to town and many restaurants within walking distance.
