Very secluded, stunning gardens, can hear the waves and nature throughout the property. Modern facilities that provided luxurious comfort. The owners are very kind and bring fresh fruit from the garden to share. You feel like you’re in the nearby national park with all the nature.

This hotel is unreal! I am fairly well-traveled, yet I have never seen a location like this. From start to finish, the trip was amazing - and since it looks like I’m one of the first to review this place, I’ll give as much detail as space allows... We began in the small fishing town of Sierpe where we parked and met the hotel staff to travel by boat to the hotel (I was told you can also fly into Drake’s Bay) but I recommend the boat ride, as the hotel guides stopped regularly to point out the mangrove’s wildlife and we saw monkeys, sloths, birds, and crocodiles. From the mouth of the river, it was an exhilarating ride along the rainforest-clad coastline as we approached the hotel bay and then switched to a smaller boat with a cinematic and memorable beach landing at the hotel! When we arrived, a welcome drink was waiting for us, and we planned our stay. I completed one day hiking in Corcovado and one day snorkeling. Hiking was great. My guide, Manfred, was such a delight and so knowledgeable on the area and the animals we saw. Word of caution - it was a long hike and I probably saw more animals on the hotel grounds than in the park (even tapirs - right in the hotel common area!!!) but it was still nice. The night hiking tour on the hotel trails was really cool, and we saw a completely different array of wildlife. It was a little daunting being in the jungle at night, but our guide was knowledgeable and confident, and that energy was palpable and calming. We had a delicious dinner included in the tour as well. The next day we went to Cano Island. Of all the places I’ve snorkeled, this was by far the best, and was perfect for my sister who is a complete novice. Our guide was amazing. After the tour, the staff had a BBQ lunch set up right on the hotel beach for us, and it was a perfect day. During the rest of our stay, we mostly lounged by the pool and enjoyed the sunsets. Special thanks to the exceptional staff - Justin, Edward, Manfred, Erika, and Carla!

Gorgeous location where the jungle meets the ocean. Samuel, his family and staff did an amazing job of making us comfortable in such a remote place. Our cabin was large and airy, equipped with fans to keep us cool. The bed was comfortable and the kitchenette seemed well-equipped, although we didn’t test it with any actual cooking. Meals were simple, fresh, and healthy, and our bartender Wendy made deliciously creamy maracuya (passion fruit) daiquiris. We saw toucans and scarlet macaws onsite, and on nearby forest paths we saw a sloth, an anteater, and groups of Capuchin monkeys.

This is an amazing small family run lodge in the middle of the jungle just 5 minutes walk from the beach. From your cabin you can see and hear loads of animals, we were able to see tucan every day. It’s also pretty impressive to wake up with the sound of pack of howling monkeys near by. Guillermo, Issac and their families will make you feel at home and they go to the extreme to make you feel comfortable and get wherever you need for your stay, the food is also really good. 10/10

Spectacular setting, the kindest family possible, excellent food, and attentiveness from Christian made this a special stay. A real family experience in the middle of nature with empty beaches and world class nature and hiking trails on your doorstep. And the feeling that you were with a real Costa Rica family, spending money where it should go.

Even more beautiful in person than in the pictures! Lush, tropical garden setting, 2 minute walk from gorgeous beach. Rafa and Ester were very friendly and welcoming. We were surprised the room was cleaned every day, including fresh sheets and towels. The soda is right next to the cabin, delicious generous breakfast and dinner. Excellent value. Our favorite stay during our week in Costa Rica. Would love to return.

The staff was so nice and accommodating. Victor met us at the beach and walked us to the hotel. The kitchen staff made delicious meals and even made us coffee chorreador when we asked about it. The location is very remote and it was nice to disconnect in the forest and enjoy reading in a hammock, hiking and swimming in the Rio Claro, doing some yoga in their beautiful open air studio and enjoy the sound of the ocean waves and animals.

Amazing place right on remote beach. Full of incredible tropical plants. Staff were super lovely. Victor and his family are perfect. We fell in love with a little stray dog who we called pupa. I think she’s now living happily living with a family member.
