We had a wonderful stay at Juan’s place. The home is beautiful and very unique inside, with a lovely pool that made the stay even more relaxing. It’s also very close to the beach, which was perfect. Juan was a wonderful host and made everything easy for us. Truly an amazing place, we would definitely stay again.

The ocean view was the best. Great location, near the beach and pools. There are a few golf cart shuttles that bring you back and forth from the restaurants on the property back to the beach. Food was good. Everything was clean. All staff was very friendly For a short stay the grocery store has a decent selection of food. And there’s also another grocery store down by Breathless. If Jumbo is the grocery store you’re looking for it’s very expensive to get there. It cost about $150 round-trip for taxi to get to Jumbo, Jumbo is like our local Walmart

I loved that the pool was right near the rooms. Also the rooms were very modern & exceptionally clean:) the beach was so close to the apartments also

Well maintained and manicured. Rooms were just perfect. Chef Elias prepared some excellent delicious meals that we are still raving about. Our waiters Jerry, Rosie and Maria made sure all of our requests were taken care of. The beach was awesome. If you’re looking for a getaway that is private, away from all the noise, just you and your better half, this is it. We had a wonderful time in paradise… can’t wait to go back.

Jorge is welcoming and very accommodating. His hotel is a wonderful community gathering place for travelers, workers and locals. You'll wake up to excellent coffee and delicious sweet bread. The walk to Playa Macao is about 10 minutes. His staff are also kind and helpful. This place is not just a hotel - Rafael is a great guide who can help with excursions. The restaurant Capitan Sully on the corner has authentic, mouth watering Dominican dishes. Hotel Johnnier Macao offers a unique insight into a local Dominican community only 10 minutes from a gorgeous UNESCO beach.
