There are 3 big beaches at the Gran Canaria Island plus several others smaller. The northern one ("Las Canteras") is very close to Tinoca Apartments, and it is ideal for swimming, walking, windsurfing, and family activities. The southern ones ("Playa Del Inglés" and "Maspalomas") are more suitable for adults. There is another one for nudists.
NOTICE: 60 days per year there is a yellow dust that comes from Sahara Desert (Africa) that turns everything blurry and dusty.
Unexpected learning of surfing with rewarding results:) Chilling most of the time. This beach and walk around the bay was almost a paradise to me. Only if weather would be the same as in Maspalomas, but Las Palmas is much more fun anyway.
we had 2 young lads with us and they loved the beach lots a room lots going on .
it suits all ages walk ' run ' skate' swim ' surf ' tennis ' beach volleyball and sand sculptures
It's a fabulous beach for walking and my husband swam in the sea, which he loved. The waves are quite strong.he restaurants at the beach are also lovely.
We didn't like either beach much, to be honest, and spent our time by the hotel pool or exploring the old town.
Very nice! Good experience to have a walk along the beach.
Very clean and a good long stretch to walk along(3kms)
nice beach 'in the city', however cloudy wheater
Large beach with clean waters and good weather
beautiful, and the city close
