I was traveling through Finland with my dad, and we happened upon Vuokatinmaa Holiday Apartments. I am extremely glad that we lucked into this gem of a place. The staff was exceptionally helpful to us as American tourists, they went out of their way to help us with a rental car and with local attractions. The location was wonderful, a 30 minute drive to some bigger towns and the facilities themselves are on a gorgeous lake. We liked it so much that we extended our stay by two nights. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Peacefully located on Lake Nuasjärvi, this hotel offers a private beach with a jetty. Free access to the gym and one sauna for men and one sauna for women are included.

Located in the popular ski resort of Vuokatti, Holiday Club Katinkulta is 656 feet from Lake Nuasjärvi. It offers a spa with wellness center, the on-site Nuas 18-hole golf course and free Wi-Fi.

The Hotel is a relatively large property inside an even larger holiday village / golf / sports / waterpark operation. The room was nice and spacious, though a little aged. The large balcony was a plus, too, though the weather was not good on my visit, so I didn't use it.
