Beach Hotels in Waiyevo

Walking in to Lomani was truly a "WOW" moment and you instantly fall in love. Lomani has the most incredible view up on the hill of the Somosomo Straight right from it's own pool, it honestly doesn't feel real! We cooked our own breakfast in the large kitchen, loved roaming the grounds to find fruits (like pineapples) and tropical flowers. The wifi and Netflix are awesome additions too, but we just found ourselves enjoying switching off and gazing into the stunning sunsets and showered under the stars. Knox was so helpful and picked us up from the ferry, drove us to the shops for supplies, and lots of activities, including the beautiful Bouma falls and we also snorkelled the insanely colourful rainbow reef (amazing dive shop just down the road!). Our experience was enriched greatly by Knox and we enjoyed our time getting to know him. Saskia is also a fabulous host who communicated everything we needed to know before our stay. Glass bottom kayaks and snorkel gear are also available but sadly we ran out of time to use them. There are so many activities to chose from, or equally opportunities to just relax, recharge, and connect with nature and each other. Knox even worked tirelessly all day to cook us a traditional Lovo on our final night at Lomani, which was so delicious and very memorable. It rained quite heavily during our time but it didn't dampen our experience at all. Lomani is a quaint cottage that feels cosy and spacious like home (but with ten times more incredible views). There is something deeply special about Lomani and we hope to return one day but stay longer than three nights. Taveuni is a tranquil, quiet, lush garden island teaming with wildlife, fruit, flowers and creatures (like frogs and geckos), along with such kind hearted people. Unlike anywhere we have ever been before. We are from a busy city and loved how Taveuni is the opposite.

Stephanie’s Homestay was the perfect getaway for a much needed break from reality to do some writing. The Homestay is a house on its own and you are not sharing a living space with the hosts. It’s well-maintained, spacious and clean with just the right amount of privacy. The Fiji Goshawk is your natural alarm clock to wake you up to catch the sunrise from the front balcony of the Homestay. Vina and Robert are such a wonderful hosts! They take such good care of their guests. Vina is always available when you need assistance. She also has a stall just out in front of the compound that sells vegetables, freshly made smoothies and so much more. You can also make bookings with Robert to take you out for a swim, snorkeling and fishing. He’ll even take you into town to run quick errands. I cannot say enough good things about Vina and Robert - they truly are such wonderful, generous, and caring individuals and they really make sure you’re comfortable and safe while staying on their property. Vina’s also a great cook!

Our four night stay with Sam and Sarah was the major highlight of our visit to Fiji. They welcomed us into their family with real warmth and fed us extremely well both at breakfast and dinner in the evening. Sarah even insisted upon providing us with a packed lunch. They could not have been more helpful, even putting our clothes through their washing machine and hanging them up for us to dry. We and our fellow guests immediately felt completely at home. Sam is a retired schoolmaster and currently a taxi driver, while Sarah works at a local Resort. Sam was always cheerful and cracking jokes and, after taking us us to visit the highlight spots of Taveuni, would wait patiently to bring us back home again. He also met us off the ferry from Natuvu and took us to the small adjacent airport upon departure. One day their daughter had left her lunch box behind, so we had the pleasure of touring her school, a very happy place. We were very sad to leave and would love to return on a future occasion. We would thoroughly recommend AerowView Home Retreat to anyone who plans to visit Fiji.

This spot is a strategically located homestay near the islands airport, less then 5 mins walk, as well as a good starter point for island activities; walking or driving. A welcoming tourist friendly area that was hospitable, well priced, and had a great attitude all around. They have Internet/wifi.

Great location for diving rainbow reef

Phenomenal property, the staff are the most amazing hospitable people, everyone was so kind and you felt immediately at home when you get there, truly special. Loved the snorkeling around the islands in front of the hotel.
