Everything in the room was new and neat. There are parking lots inside the property. Comfortable bathroom with powerful hair dryer and high quality shower gel&shampoo. 10 minute walk from Petra cafes/rocky church. The room is perfect for 1-2 people.

We really enjoyed our stay. We took a public KTEL bus from the Mytilene port. A note that these public busses are really nice, comfortable with AC. The bus stop was a bit hard to find in Mytilene, but we eventually located it behind Agias Irinis Park, next to the My Market. Google it to find scheduling. The bus dropped us at the main square in Petra. Note that if you drive to Petra, you will be parking in a public lot in town—for most places you stay. You really can’t drive back into the village area. I find this endearing and what makes the town so quaint, and I was shocked by some reviewers’ complaints! We arranged to be picked up near the Pharmacy in Petra. There is only 1 pharmacy in town, so just google the location. Our only struggle was lack of phone service, so we had to bum some internet off a local cafe. They obliged :) We communicated with our apartment owners by WhatsApp. The apartment owner’s mother (?) greeted us warmly at the pharmacy and walked us to the apartment-just a a very short walk down the tiny street. We had backpacks and could easily transport our stuff. We had an upstairs 1-bedroom apartment for 3 people with a view of the beautiful church and village. There was AC, but we didn’t use it all the time and two balconies with large doors and another large window for adequate breeze. There were plenty of kitchen items, including a filter coffee maker. At one point we asked to borrow a can opener so my husband could open a local can of salted sardines! :) They answered all of our questions promptly. Every day our room was cleaned, which I was not expecting and was a nice touch. Even without a car, we were able to visit Anaxos, which had a lovely beach. We took the local public bus there and actually walked back. We also visited Molyvos via the local bus and a taxi back. Our favorite, tho was Petra, with wonderful beaches, the village, a market, bakery and eateries all within minutes. And our little apartment was grand.
