We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Maria’s Sunset House — it truly exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, Maria welcomed us with such warmth and generosity. She was incredibly helpful throughout our stay, offering great local tips and making sure we had everything we needed to feel at home. The location is perfect — quiet, beautiful, and close to the center of the village. We loved watching the sunset from the terrace every evening; the view is simply breathtaking. The house itself is spotless and thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need - even with Maria's home-made jams! The attention to detail made a real difference — from the comfortable beds and great shower to the fully equipped kitchen and cozy outdoor seating area. We recommend renting a motor bicycle from the nearby shop - this made everything super easy and we could explore the entire small island this way. If you're looking for a peaceful and wonderful experience, Maria’s Sunset House is the place to be. We can’t recommend it highly enough and would love to come back!

You’ve probably heard of Poseidon, Zeus, Hera, and all the other famous Greek gods and goddesses—but let me introduce you to Maria, the goddess of hospitality: Tucked away on a small mediterranean island, Maria and her family run a very cute hotel. It features several houses, a nice pool, and recently renovated, stylish rooms. Our room had a gorgeous sea view and comfortable beds. Every food we had was just exquisite, and the staff also had an awesome taste in music! While it could have been "just" a great hotel stay, Maria was the one who made it truly unforgettable. She pays attention to every single guest, welcoming you with fun wit, warm words, and hugs. Staying here feels like visiting that cool, favorite side of your family you always look forward to seeing. We still talk about Maria and her family often and keep that stay in a very special place in our hearts. We were super conflicted if we should ever share this experience (but Vasilaras Hotel truly deserves it) or keep it as a secret so there will always be two beds left.

The staff is very kind and friendly. The rooms are basic and clean with enough beds for families with kids. They are working on bettering the showers. Rooms have AC. Location was excellent. 2 min away from the beach, supermarket, pharmacy is in front, restaurants are 2-5 min walk.. bus station that takes you to all the beaches. They have a cute little pool that is god sent on hot days and you’re not at the beach.

I was positively surprised. It is a nice room and in fact two rooms - a separate bedroom with a small office table and a room with a small kitchen and an extra bed. I was concerned that it might be too hot to sleep and there could be street noise, but both was great. The unit had a very modern air conditioning unit and it was already set to a comfortable temperature when I arrived. It was a very quiet and efficient AC and the fan didn't have to be on a high setting to keep the temperature in there nice. I slept really well. It is a quiet area, so I couldn't hear a thing from the street or other guests. They also let me check in early without extra cost, which I appreciate. Location was great in my opinion: within 5-10 minutes to the harbour and the closest beach, right next to a mini market and still a quiet street that doesn't have many tourists.

It is a nice, quiet neighborhood. Very safe with locked gates. Hosts were attentive and helpful. Neighbors were so nice and friendly. Has a cute sitting area in the back and in front for coffee. The bathroom and bedrooms were clean. Has a mosquito net. But we did not see any bugs. Close location to all of what the island has to offer, but not down right in the tourist area, which we enjoyed, to bring more of a peaceful getaway. The island is small, so any location is close to everything. We love Agistri.
