The food in their restaurant was wonderful. I ordered the seafood platter which was too much for me to eat and was excellent. My wife ordered the lamb stew and she was very pleased with her selection. The lamb was tender and not fatty like some. They had a nice whiskey selection and the bartender was consultative and recommended a whiskey I have never heard of and it was delicious. I am already trying to find it in the states. Oliver's is located next to the water and a working pier. I enjoyed watching the activities on and near the pier. Next time we will take the ferry to the island of Inishbofin for a day or two. Going up to the Connemara Mountains is one thing. Going past them to the other side and to the sea is another. I recommend both.
