Beach Hotels in Dokupe

Very clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was in the property. Very nice hosts.

The first thing you see upon going through the exterior door of the property and advancing a few meters is a small garden partially covered by a lush lawn, with a table and a swinging chair shaded by a thick flowery shrub. The guesthouse itself is on the right, a number of painted wooden poles supporting the structure, giving way to the front wall, recessed half a meter past them. There's a row of potted plants with dotted white and red blossoms nested against it, and a single door in the middle leading to the common dining area, a couple of white-framed windows on each side. You go up to the second floor via a side staircase, which ends in an open corridor protected by a series of planks, painted the same color as the facade. There's no elaborate decoration. It's a rustic, inconspicuous building, yet charming and inviting. I felt at home there, and safe and taken care of. I was obviously grateful that everything was spotless clean and smelled nice, but also that it was quiet and calm. The amenities were thoughtfully provided for and I had everything I needed. There's no tv, but you don't want one, not without spoiling the "feel" of the place. It's all wood, and homey and cozy. The included breakfast is definitely one of the highlights and a superb way to start your day. The selection of teas, jams and butters was also certainly welcome. I was able to enjoy the sauna on my last night (for a small additional fee), which was a therapeutic and restoring way to end my stay. There's a bus stop a mere block away and the route can take you to the city center in under 20 minutes. You can also get to the science museum on foot in about the same time, if you're looking for a place to take some pictures and take in the sunset. The industrial area and northern half of the city is just across the bridge over the Venta river. Would definitely recommend and hope I get to visit again.

The small apartment was lovely, we had a great time during our stay.

Location, location, location, and the mill 😊

I really enjoyed my stay. The en suite bedroom was lovely, with a comfortable bed and fresh linen. Extra blankets and cushions were provided in case I needed them, along with towels in the bathroom. The shower was small but convenient, and the room had all the necessary cutlery and a kettle for tea or coffee. There was also a little fridge available just outside the bedroom, which was very handy. The house itself was peaceful, perfect for a relaxing stay. The owner was friendly and welcoming. The location was also very good – just a short walk to a grocery store, about 20 minutes to the main bus station, and around 40 minutes to the beach. Overall, a comfortable and quiet place to stay, especially suitable for one person.

Great location near the shopping center. The apartment has everything you need and even more. Perfectly clean with comfortable furniture. I can definitely recommend this place. You won't regret.

The stay was the best I've ever had and the owner was the sweetest, like honestly. Had quite the day and meeting her brightened it, not to mention the whole quality of everything in there. Simply put, amazing.

We had a fantastic stay and would happily return in the future! The apartment is in an excellent location, with plenty of free parking available and situated in a safe, peaceful neighborhood. It was the perfect place to relax after spending the day exploring Ventspils and enjoying the beach. The beds were very comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The apartment is well-equipped with a full kitchen, including a refrigerator, making it easy to prepare meals and feel at home. One of our favorite features was the bathtub, a wonderful way to unwind in the evening after a day by the sea. We also enjoyed relaxing in the cozy living room and watching movies. The balcony was another highlight and a rare amenity that made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, everything was comfortable, convenient, and thoughtfully arranged. We truly enjoyed our time here.
