Beach Hotels in Hauru

Host is next door and was able to solve a minor problem immediately. While we did not have time to use it, host offered use of a kayak.

This is the second time I stayed at Chalet Chenal and I would stay there again if I come to Moorea. Excellent hosts and excellent location. Kayaks and bikes are a huge plus as you can kayak from the house straight into the ocean in a few minutes!

We really enjoyed our stay overall. The views are beautiful, the property is very clean, and Lise was kind and welcoming. Having access to the private beach across the road and the complimentary kayaks was a wonderful bonus and became one of our favorite parts of the stay.

Beautiful location. Our host was very responsive via WhatsApp. She met us at the house to hand us the keys and explained how everything worked. AC was working well, all the appliances too. Bungalow was very comfortable for 4 people. We bought groceries nearby and had meals at the house. Neighbors were quiet and the beach was just a short walk.

The lush, private property has a charming camp-like feel with multiple bungalows, and we loved the rooster and chickens wandering through the grounds. The separate bedrooms are comfortable, with mosquito nets, fans, and private bathrooms. The open-air kitchen is well stocked, the dining area is spacious, and the outdoor showers are perfect for rinsing snorkeling gear. It’s also in close walking distance to excellent restaurants and shopping. The owner was very responsive and helpful. Overall, an incredible value and a unique, enjoyable place to stay. We will be back!

Best location in Moorea for a family trip in my opinion. Walking to the lagoon which blows you away. Truly paradise. Green and lush garden. The two kayaks are a huge plus! Walking distance to a small grocery store. Very relaxing.

we stayed for 8 nights and experienced 3 types of bungalows. The garden bungalows are absolutely fine but less amenities than the deluxe bungalows, which have TV and microwave also, and are a newer build. The lagoon view bungalow is like the garden bungalows with a bit of a view to the ocean - but we preferred walking the short distance to the ocean for the full view so, for the price, the garden bungalows are fine or I would spend the extra money on the deluxe bungalow instead. The deluxe bungalow - we also found quieter. Our garden bungalow - the roosters seemed to be right behind us - so bring ear plugs for sleeping. The location is wonderful. There are several great restaurants near by and the beach is lovely. Make sure to book reservations for the more popular restaurants as they fill up every night. We would definitely book this lovely little hotel again!

The villas were in a fantastic position and a stone's throw away from the beach with great snorkelling. We were welcomed with fruit and made use of our private pool.
