Beautiful location within a tropical garden setting, complete with water features & pool. Nice to sit out on the ample deck in the evening with a glass of wine and enjoy the warm surroundings. Our hosts were very welcoming and happy to share their experiences. Good self serve continental breakfast. Easy walk to surfing beach.

The beds are just soo comfortable. Everything is always clean and the free breakfast yummy. The staff are super fun, friendly and efficient. The kitchen is well equipped. And my favourite part are the free tours to various places . It’s a fantastic way to see the island on a small budget.

Very close to the airport. Really friendly staff. I did not realize the sustainability efforts of the SCP brand when we booked, but this added to the good feeling of our stay. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. There was free gated parking. We spent a lot of time at the pool which had a really nice seating area and a beautiful buddha statue adding to a serene feel. I also strongly recommend the Lomilomi massage at Malama Honua Massage Therapy. We ate several meals at the restaurant next door, Coconut Grill, which had amazing food (my first time trying Lau Lau) and really beautiful local art depicting Hawaiian legends.

Direct Ocean front at Carlsmith Beach Park. Wonderful screened in Lanai with ocean view. Fully equipped kitchen and nice linens and towels. Excellent communication with property manager who was so kind to us! Perfect Hilo location! Love the Hilo local vibe and the great people there!!
