From the moment I arrived, every single person working at the property was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. Their hospitality truly made me feel at home. The view of the lake is absolutely breathtaking — waking up to that peaceful scenery was one of the highlights of my trip. What truly made my stay extra special were the lovely pets around: I forgot the name of the sweet little cat, but she totally stole my heart, and Lola, the adorable dog, was always there for some cuddles and joy. This place is more than just a stay — it’s an experience filled with warmth, charm, and genuine care. I totally recommend it and would come back in a heartbeat!

Zapote Tree Inn is located less than 16 minutes from Flores' airport and 4 minutes away from Flores island by boat, located at a privileged point to appreciate sunsets and sunrises overlooking the... The team at Zapote Tree was fantastic: Erick and Noé are so caring and helpful, and provided us with lots of tips and support. The room was comfortable, the view from the different terraces beautiful, and we even got to go explore the peninsula with Mogli, the hotel’s dog! 100% recommend staying here to stay on the calmer, more authentic side of Flores!

This charming hotel is located in northern Guatemala’s Petén Jungle, on the shores of Lake Petén. It offers fantastic trips to the Mayan Ruins of the Tikal National Park. Our second visit here absolutely love the place.

The cleanest place I’ve ever stayed. Lovely large room, spotless bathroom, kitchen facilities were good. We were collected from the island by Hilda’s husband even though we arrived at a very early time. Hilda put us in touch with someone who booked and sorted our Tikal tour (which was also fantastic). Whilst you’re not staying directly in Flores this side is much more relaxed, everything is cheaper, felt more authentic. Brilliant free tour of an ongoing excavation which is like Tikal, and it’s only a short boat ferry over the water for Q10 pp. would highly recommend
