We would rate both accommodation and host with 12 out of 10, and we are the frequent travelers. Our host was helpful with everything, welcoming us with a help around the luggage, giving us good proposals where to go, what to visit, even where to park a car for free. Set in a renovated 18-the century building on the shores of Lake Orta, B&B AL DOM is in Sacro Monte di Orta and offers free Wi-Fi throughout, a garden, and a terrace. Massimo was an outstanding host and made us very welcome in a wonderful and well appointed location. All was perfect and we would very much like to return in summertime. A peaceful and tranquil haven during our hectic train trip through northern Italy.

The Hotel Ristorante Villa Crespi is set in an impressive 19th-century building surrounded by private gardens which lead to a beautiful lake. Remarkable historical palazzo, member of Relais & Châteaux. The service here is outstanding — staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Everything is perfectly taken care of, and breakfast is just amazing. Orta is a lovely place to explore while discovering the lake region.
