Toni is really good with sorting scooter out and making sure that you get your deposit back. Also the place is really cool, very clean and has great facilities.

The farm stay features family rooms. Food was amazingly made by Delfa, their nica chef. Who made Vegetarian dishes with farms ingredients and using fire in a typical stove. I totally recommend to have all the meals you can, you’ll love it. We enjoyed a volcano Concepcion tour with a young guide named Josias, who showed us that wonderful landscape. Also the reception helped us to get a scooter for 25usd, a nice way to go around the island. The chef daughter made a surprise birthday cake for my girlfriend, which made us a felt like home. Finca La Magia is the perfect spot for privacy and natural surroundings. No internet coverage but a decent wifi at the restaurant.

The owner was very accommodating and waited up late for our arrival after we were delayed. He also gave us some helpful tips and tricks for Ometepe and good recommendations. The place itself is pretty basic but all we needed and very good value for money. Lovely veranda with views of the lake and hammocks to relax in.

Great shared spaces, the lake is accessible right at the back of the property for a fresh swim with locals, the staff are really friendly and helpful and have food, scooters, etc on offer for reasonable price. Balgue was a great location for tranquility but proximity to attractions of Ometepe. Cute dogs :) good value for money.

Located in Altagracia, a few steps from Santo Domingo Beach, Xalli Beach Hotel provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Providing a bar, the property is located within 11 km of Maderas Volcano. Certain units at the property include a balcony with a lake view. We loved our stay at Xalli Beach Hotel. The hosts (especially Carlos) were super friendly, welcoming, and make sure you had everything you need to have a comfortable stay! The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great. The restaurant (apart from breakfast) was closed during our stay (I believe due to low season - October), but there were options to order food from a restaurant nearby and eat it in the restaurant at the property, so it wasn’t really a problem. We organised a taxi pick up from the ferry and a scooter rental via Xalli Beach Hotel as well, which worked great! The property is beautiful and you have direct access to the lake (so nice for a lovely morning swim).

The accommodation features airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. Los Cocos provides fairly basic accommodations but what sets them apart is the quality of the staff. Marlon, his family and his staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating every step of the way. The food is typical Nicaraguan fare cooked beautifully with generous portions. We were always met with smiles. As we are practiced our Spanish, the Los Cocos team were patient and worked with us to ensure that expectations were well communicated. They spent time with us and got to know our children. The space is incredibly safe and the location is excellent, being directly across from playa Santa Cruz and the Saturday market. If you need a taxi, Marlon is more than willing to drive you wherever you need to go in a comfortable pick up truck. He can help you arrange horse tours, vehicle rental, kayak tour, hiking tour and whatever else you can imagine on the island. We have returned to Los Cocos twice, and we couldn't imagine staying at any other hotel on Isla de Ometepe!
