We were contacted by the agent upon arrival to let us know the accommodation was ready, which was a nice touch. The apartment was spotlessly clean on arrival, and the welcome pack was a lovely surprise. Everything you could need for a comfortable stay was provided. On our first night we noticed there was only one wine glass and no hot plates/trivets to put a hot oven tray down without damaging the work surface. We messaged the agent and received a reply within 15 minutes. About 30 minutes later there was a knock at the door – it was the owner, who had very kindly gone to IKEA on a Saturday night to pick up two new wine glasses and some hot plates for us. We were genuinely blown away by how kind, quick and thoughtful this was. A couple of days later we had another knock at the door, again from the owner, who this time brought us a bottle of wine as a gesture of kindness due to a small amount of DIY being carried out in the upstairs apartment that day. A really thoughtful touch. All in all, we had a fab week staying here. The accommodation isn’t really within walking distance of the coast, but it’s close enough if you have a car or don’t mind a short taxi ride. Communication from the agent was great, and the host… what can I say – they were brilliant. This really is a gem of a find and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here to anyone. One small point, which we didn’t realise until we got home (and it doesn’t affect our review at all): the advert mentions an outdoor pool, but there weren’t any details about where this was at the property or on Booking.com. It wasn’t an issue for us as we’re not pool people, but if you do fancy a dip you may want to ask the agent where it is.

Sehr toll, sehr großzügig! Gute Infrastruktur und dennoch ruhig und entspannend gelegen, direkt an der Küste mit Weitblick über dem Atlantik. Perfekt ausgestatete Zimmer mit sehr großen bequemen Betten und möblierten Balkonen. Phantastische Poollandschaften, sehe viele gemütliche Bereiche mit wunderschönen und sehr gepflegten, windgeschützten Gärten. Unglaublich reichhaltiges und abwechslungsreiches Speisenangebot in Buffetform. Schönes Ambiente in den Restaurants, auch in den Außenbereichen. Keine Hektik, alles gut organisiert und gut durchdacht. Alle Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett, sehr professionell und man fühlt sich herzlich willkommen. Alles verläuft reibungslos, schön entspannend und erholsam aber keineswegs langweilig. Das Frühstück und das Abendessen ist immer ein Event. Ein toller Ort um wieder zu kommen um einen absolut gelungenen Urlaub zu verbringen. Wer dort nicht "runter kommt" der kommt wahrscheinlich nirgendwo zu Ruhe ;-)

Diese Unterkunft liegt nur 2 Gehminuten vom Strand entfernt. Das Barceló Lanzarote Active Resort ist ein Resort in der Stadt Costa Teguise auf der Insel Lanzarote. Superior conditions for swimming, cycling and fitness with a relaxed resort vibe, great buffet and attentive personell. I had a superb sporty week with great facilities and full of organised Exercise, a grand massage and everyone worked super hard even during Christmas to make that moment extra special too. Note for bookers there is a more fancy Luxury part and I took the more sporty part called "active" with slightly better rates.

Close shop - peaceful safe area We were stunned at how amazing it was. 100/10 Best place we ever booked through booking.com by far!
