Best thing was Nina and her delicious morning homemade breads. Also her bread pudding and fresh scones with jam and whip cream was delicious. Nina was a wonderful host that made sure your stay was comfortable. She even had a small dish of ice in the freezer she would fill for us to use in our drinks. The beds were great, room quiet, and curtains that made it nice and dark for sleeping. House has great charm, history and beautiful gardens.

this “apartment” is a hidden gem wrapped with thoughtful amenities! John gave me a tour of the property and when I mentioned it was a bit cold, he presented me with heaters in the bedroom (plus a heating blanket already laid) plus a nice heater in the living room … in 2 minutes, i was warm and toasty! The bathroom had lovely lavender soap which I totally adore … lovely view of the ocean and mountain from the kitchen/ dining room area …. Overall, a great stay with parking in the property and a variety of items for a delicious continental breakfast!

It’s a beautiful historic home with lots of interesting photos and art on the walls. John was friendly and a great host. When I realized I had accidentally left my power adapter there after checking out, he took the time to help me get it back.

The Tasmanian Inn is located in Hobart, 2625 ft from Theater Royal and less than 0.6 mi from the waterfront. Walk to Salamanca Market on Saturday in 20 minutes.

The STAFF!!!! They are so friendly and helpful!!! The Inn has a historic value, but my room also had modern touches and had clearly been upgraded. I loved how large the shower rooms are. The food from the restaurant is delicious and the tavern has a nice happy hour.
