I have a quite apprehensive attitude to renting rooms from private owners, but this place fit our plans and itinerary so perfectly that I had to give it a shot. The only remaining worry was that parking my car seemed unsafe from what I could gather on my own. We arrived a bit late and I found it hard to get in touch with the owner but on site we found that everything was set up for us to access the room without any problems. If you are the type of person that craves the constant attention of a pampering staff that you’d normally find at five star hotels, then maybe this isn’t for you. The lady that handles the rental room was evidently out with her friends, but her husband was around to answer any questions, incredibly charming fellow. He explained to me how the locals deal with parking and so the car ended up parked pretty much right outside the door. The interior is built and decorated in absolutely impeccable taste. For us it was the perfect home away from home. We spent time at the nearby lake, La Plage du Moutchic, and also don’t miss “The Beach House” at Lacanau Océan, about ten minutes drive away.
