This place was so charming. When I arrived I was greeted with a welcome drink and nibbles. Filipa is a very gracious host nothing was ever a problem. She organized everything including taxis for dinner and personally picking me up and dropping me off at locations while I was walking the camino. It was so nice knowing that this place has been serving pilgrams for over 500 years.

This property is a paradise! We loved the flora, our fountain apartment, sounds of birds, the natural (chlorine free) pool and the sumptuous breakfast brought in a basket to our shaded stone porch each morning. The cleaners work hard to keep the rooms and property spotless and our host, Caterina (the caretaker in the estate owners absence) welcomed us with genuine warmth and offered the best suggestions about everything from local festivals to vegetarian fare.

The Landlord goes above and beyond to help in any possible way, his wife is extremely friendly, and I was shocked to find out he speaks several languages, not saying he is native in all of them, but you just gotta love how much effort he puts on welcoming people to his house! I don't think We could have made a better choice than this house for our stay! My family (a 3 years old, a 15 years old and 2 adults) enjoyed our stay, the house is walking distance from everywhere, beds were great, bathrooms were clean, all common areas were clean at all times, we were able to cook, to wash our clothes, to go grocery shopping and use the fridge, which made this a much pleasant stay! Almost forgot, they have a dog, her name is Kira, she is a wonderful and playful girl, never angry, never mad, and she also greets you at the door very happy!

Very good room in the center of Barcelos for a very good price. We had a room with 3 persons and 3 single beds. Very new and comfortable. Downstairs is a kitchen and living room so you can chat there with other people staying there. That was very nice!

Absolutely a nice little oases with a garden and swimming pool, areas outside and inside where you can sit and relax. Nice art that made the perfect frame for relaxing and discovery. We had a room with balcony and view to the garden/pool. Very silence. The staff was friendly and helpful to suggest a good Italian restaurant, and it was good. the stay was part of walking the camino and we will stay here again. The breakfast was nothing special but OK. Because of rainy weather we did not use the pool.
