I have made a longer trip by car through eastern part of Canada and stopped in many hotels overnight. But here I had the best night sleep. The house is so cosy, with such an amazing energy and the owners so friendly. I had a very beautiful room and a very comfy bed. All over the place you can feel that the owners pour their heart into the place. The breakfast is home made and is very special with high quality ingredients. Initially I was worried in regard to the shared bathroom but there are more than one in the house and this was not a problem. I would return and I would stay longer. Also, you should not miss the sunset in Rimouski while you are there.

Le gîte du Lac er staðsett í Herouxville í Quebec-héraðinu og Les Piles Village Forestier í innan við 14 km fjarlægð. We adored our room up in the tree, complete with a beautiful, spacious terrace. The views were amazing and it was so peaceful. We just loved the space. The outdoor jacuzzi is a great addition, and the garden is really peaceful. You can sit by the lake and watch the changing colours and the beavers swimming around. We just loved it!

There was an awesome bidet!

Our room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Lovely views from our terrace. Wish we had been there for more than one night.

Sylvie and Rene deserve the hosts of the year award! They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. This BNB was very clean and very comfortable. The sheets were so soft I inquired about them and Sylvie was sweet enough to email me the brand and where I could find them. The second floor has a beautifully designated guest living room over looking the water and backyard gardens. The guest kitchen was well equipped and tastefully done. There was even a separate guest entrance. Breakfast was above and beyond any 5 star stay! The breakfast table was beautifully set with homemade jams and jellies, real maple syrup, well paired cheeses and a wonderful meat spread. We were offered fresh juices and coffee and tea when we were seated. The first course was a delicious homemade layered yogurt served with a flaky pastry. Next was a light and fluffy waffle and fresh hand cut fruits served with a side of creme anglaise. We were also offered a bean and bacon dish. There were lovely breads and toasts as well ! It was all so scrumptious! We highly recommend staying with Sylvie and Rene.
