The attention to detail put into the shared bathroom and kitchen was noted. Great job! Good airy rooms. Felt right at home. Value accommodation...felt the cost was well worth it. Had a shared living room as well. It really was a nice house.

The property has been purpose built to be a B&B so has many little touches that makes it a home away from home, with a sunny lounge and bar area for guests to relax, enjoy a drink and a chat. The rooms are modern and well appointed, sparkling clean and the breakfast is gourmet, fresh and locally sourced. My husband wasn’t feeling well and Lukas was very accommodating, which we appreciated greatly. Lukas has an Atelier with handmade, gourmet goodies his brother & he have crafted. Location was great 2mins walk to the train station or 3mins into town.

Surrounded by the Hoher Kasten to Säntis Mountains, Gasthaus Bären Schlatt offers rooms with views of the mountains and Appenzell village. the view from the hotel was exceptional, the owners were incredible, very friendly and always with a smile. they even drove us back to the city the next day. make sure to have dinner there, as it was amazing. the room was very clean and spacious

Surrounded by hills and mountains, the family-run Landgasthaus Neues Bild, Eggerstanden occupies a historic building, a 10-minute drive from the centre of Appenzell. Better than expected. Trails nearby. Easy parking. Room was very comfortable and updated. During the summer, it was nice to have a fan in the room. We had a great dinner on one night. The host and staff were all very friendly and helpful. We would gladly stay here again.

Located next to the car-free centre of Appenzell, Adler Hotel is set in a beautiful traditional Appenzell-style building. We loved everything about this property, accommodations, the location, staff, Mathias was exceptional… proud of his 7th generation property and it was evident! Best location in Appenzell!

Surrounded by untouched nature, the Waldgasthaus Lehmen can be found 4 km from Weissbad in the canton of Appenzell. It offers Alpine-style rooms and a charming restaurant terrace. We stayed 2 nights beginning of June. If you like traditional places, you should visit Waldgasthaus Lehmen. You would be surrounded by natural forest with a view on Appenzell Alps. One of the most common sound during the day is various bells on cow necks. We were lucky to see how Appenzell farmers bring their cows to the mountains. The farmers have very beautiful cloths! On Saturday we saw a group of farmers, who came in their traditional dresses to Lehmen restaurant and had a few hours of singing and enjoying food. The restaurant is very good, if you like Swiss food. You must be hiking in that region, otherwise food might be too heavy. I had pork steak, pork schnitzel and beef steak with noodles and mushrooms. All dishes were very tasty. You have to try local beer! And Lehmen whisky! Highly recommended! Very nice! Service is impeccable, fast and attentive. All personnel is very friendly. Breakfast is wonderful! I would prefer, if it started at 7 instead of 8… Our room 17 was great, soft pillows, comfy beds, bath, simple but cozy design. The hotel has a playground for kids. Parking is huge.

Situated 1.5 km from the Schwende ski lift and 3 km from the Ebenalp ski lift, Loosmühle features a bakery, a snack bar and a café on site. Newly remodeled and beautiful room!Breakfast and staff were superb! Don’t forget to pick up something from the in house bakery!

Surrounded by a park with a sunbathing lawn and a playground, the palace-style Hotel Restaurant Belvedere enjoys a quiet location in Weissbad. It offers free Wi-fi and mountain views. The location was ideal. The owner and his wife and staff were very kind and helpful.
