The house was stunning, the location ideal (you could walk into town), the bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was amazing, and the attention to details was superb. Aline was an exceptional host, breakfast was phenomenal (so were the views), and we look forward to returning for another visit.

Le moulin des Sens - SPA-SAUNA in Orthez provides adults-only accommodation with a garden and a shared lounge. Built in 19th century, the property includes hot tub and sauna. Great place with really lovely owners. Orthez isn't a particularly great place to visit but it's perfectly located as a base to explore the region. Food is excellent and if the owners offer you dinner, you should accept straight away. The pool is a tranquil haven after a hard day of being a tourist.

The set up is rather interesting in that there are two B&B double rooms with their modern en suite bathroom set up on either side of a shared common room, which is used for breakfast. Each rooms gives onto its own individual patio. My sister and brother-in-law had rented the studio which is, conversely, completely self contained. There is a sense of privacy and the location is unbelievable quiet. Salies de Bearn is a bucolic little town and the location of the B&B is close to the center but even quieter. All fixtures were modern.

Excellent host. Went out of her way to accommodate us as a family with children and dog. Lovely house, amazing breakfast and our children even helped feeding some farm animals.

If you are looking for a lively location then Orolon Sante Marie or Pau would be a better option. Not far from the French Spanish boarder and an ideal place to stop for the night on the way from Spain to Bordeaux.
