Maison Manendra - Bromo er gististaður í Gubukklakah, 22 km frá Bromo-fjalli og 25 km frá Velodrome Malang. Gististaðurinn er með garðútsýni. We arrived quite late in the evening but Rani and Oussama made us feel really welcome from the start. The room has a comfortable bed, is lovingly furnished and is very clean. The views from the house are lovely. We booked the shorter tour to Gunung Bromo through Maison Manendra and that was very well organised and a nice surprise because the chosen route avoids most of the crowds (especially for the sunrise). The food shared around the big table on the rooftop terrace was always fresh and delicious and we had some very nice conversations with the other guests and also Rani and Oussama.

Mountain Ecolodge er gististaður í Gubukklakah, 24 km frá Bentoel-safninu og 25 km frá Bima Sakti Hall. Þaðan er útsýni til fjalla. A great location in the midst of nature, detached from others. Great view from the room and from the terrace, fresh air. Located between Malang and Bromo, so it is very convenient to go from the ecolodge to the Bromo tour. Scooters can be only rented on Malang, better to take minumun 120cc if you want to travel around, for example, to Sewu waterfall. Gojek works, but in the evening there maybe problems to get one, get a car in advance or ask the owner. The owners btw are very very cool and helpful! Thank you for helping us out!!!! Prepare warm clothes and socks.

Bhumi Kasuryan Borobudur er staðsett í innan við 1,6 km fjarlægð frá Borobudur-hofinu og 40 km frá Yogyakarta Tugu-lestarstöðinni í Borobudur og býður upp á gistirými með setusvæði. The room was very clean and spacious. The homestay is in the middle of Rice fields, so you get to hear frogs and geckos in the evening, which we loved. We didn't have any problem with bugs in the rooms given we were in the middle of fields. The bathroom was very clean as well as the room and nice and new bed sheets. The staff was attentive and welcoming. Lena, from reception, was extremely helpful during our stay. Always attentive to anything we needed and answering any questions. The breakfast was delicious and the amounts were generous. The first night we decided to have dinner there which was a traditional Indonesian dinner. Very good and fresh. All the meals are served on the lovely covered terrace. Lena coordinated a driver for us to explore other nearby areas, including our drive back to Yogyakarta after visiting Merapi Volcano. Our driver, Nur, was more of a tour guide. Extremely generous with his time, spoke English and drove us around many interesting places including picking fruit, Rambutan, from his family property. It was a true pleasure to share time with lovely people at a great place.

We stayed for 2 nights in a unique wooden house. The room ms are very clean, the bathroom and toilet are also very clean. The surrounding environment is also comfortable and beautiful. The host is so kind, friendly, and we felt like family.

Rumah Lereng Bandung er 11 km frá Saung Angklung Udjo og býður upp á gistingu með svölum, útsýnislaug og baði undir berum himni. The guesthouse is built by a dutch couple who has lived in Indonesia for almost 20 years. They build this place step by step and maintain the condition of housing with considerable intention. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, with many details to discover, such as the old wooden furniture from East Timur and the garden panorama designed according to specific slope angle. The local host in charge is an Indonesian couple. They are super friendly and willing to share life stories with guests. Cats and dogs in the facility are well taken care of. It is highly recommended to read the booklet of the "History of Rumah Lereng Bandung" during the stay. In sum, this is one of the best place that I've ever stayed.

Rumah Jawa Guest House (Syariah) er staðsett í Yogyakarta, aðeins 2 km frá Fort Vredeburg og býður upp á gistirými með garðútsýni, ókeypis WiFi og ókeypis einkabílastæði. This beautiful guest house is run by a most lovely man. Bambang was an attentive host, speaks excellent English, and is always willing to help out with whatever you might need. The house has various sitting areas inside and out, a koi pond, and is on a quiet lane just off a main street with shops, restaurants, etc. A huge and delicious Indonesian breakfast is provided (and is different every day!), plus there are free 24 hour snacks and drinks. Also we hired an English speaking guide and driver to take us to our next stay at Borobudur for a very reasonable price. He lives right next door.

Mocca Guest House er staðsett í Banyuwangi og býður upp á ókeypis WiFi og einingar með eldhúsi, svölum og setusvæði. Gististaðurinn var byggður árið 2012 og er með loftkæld gistirými með verönd. Love this little homestay. Breakfast is very tasty. Thank you for having us!

Rumah Gandrung er staðsett í Ngabean, nálægt Sultan-höllinni, Malioboro-verslunarmiðstöðinni og Vredeburg-virkinu og býður upp á garð. Our stay was short but absolutely great. The location of the place is very convenient, 20 minute walk from the train station. The room was on the smaller side, but we didn't spend too much time inside anyway, so that wasn't an issue. The place itself is great, room is clean, the garden and the hostel territory is nice with a lot of shaded areas to spend time if it gets too hot. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, homecooked local food. If you're planning to go see the temples in and around the city, this is a great place to stay, absolutely worth the money.
