We had the best time at Sumatra expedition lodge. The room was spacious, clean and had air con and a fan. The family were lovely and the workers were so friendly and helpful. We had amazing meals at the lodge (our favourite the tempeh rengdeng). We also did a jungle trek organised by the lodge. We had the most incredible day with our tour guide Oman and his helper Onkey (sorry if wrong spelling). Oman was so great with 20 plus years of experience in the jungle he was so knowledgeable and we saw so much beautiful jungle and wildlife. He also deeply cared about the environment and was a great advocate for animal wellbeing and safety. We were fortunate enough to see lots of monkeys and observe the orangutan’s up close. Definitely recommend 10/10

Hub Tata Guesthouse er nýlega enduruppgert gistihús í Tuk Tuk og er með garð. Gististaðurinn er með útsýni yfir vatnið. Þegar veður er gott er gestum velkomið að sitja úti. The staff was very nice and helpful. The place is beautiful

LOBLUS (Low Budget Luxury Stay) er staðsett í Padang, í innan við 10 km fjarlægð frá Siti Nurbaya-brúnni og 47 km frá Talang-fjallinu. Boðið er upp á herbergi með loftkælingu og sérbaðherbergi. The room as well as the bathroom is modern and clean and the owner Dilla is such a nice and talkative person. She really cares about her guests and helps with all she can. She even woke up at 4 am to drive us to the airport. Would recommend anyone to stay here.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel! A huge thank you to Robert, who was incredibly attentive and helped us with everything — from surfboard rentals to booking the fast ferry to Mentawai. Truly excellent service. Highly recommended!

JUNGLE LIFE GUEST HÚSIÐ - Gönguferðir og samgöngur Only Book With Us er staðsett í Bukit Lawang og er með sundlaug með útsýni yfir ána. Staff were great for organising trips. Super close to the start of the treks and a lovely view of the river. Staff helped book the tours and transport in and out of Bukit Lawang.

Toba Boi er staðsett í Tuk Tuk á Sumatra-svæðinu og er með verönd og fjallaútsýni. Gistirýmið er með svalir og útsýni yfir vatnið. Gististaðurinn býður upp á útsýni yfir hljóðláta götu. The hosts Dong and Seska were so friendly and helpful which made it my stay a memorable one. There is a bar / restaurant across the road which does great food and the bar has live music on a Saturday night which is also very good. I rented a motorbike which was very handy from the accommodation which was convenient and a good price too and they also provide a good laundry service. The upstairs area at the front was good for chilling out with a nice view of the lake. I would definitely recommend and would stay again. Try the Tuak when you're there - it's the local palm wine.

SeaGate Bungalows í Sabang býður upp á gistirými, einkastrandsvæði, garð og garðútsýni. The snorkeling in front of the bungalows is good. Borja and YunYun are very accomodating. Services like scooter rental and laundry are offered. There is also a dog (give him some nice scratches to become friends). The bungalows were also very nice.

Bua Guest House er staðsett 9,3 km frá Medan Grand-moskunni og býður upp á loftkæld gistirými með verönd. Our flight got delayed so we landed quite late, but the owners were waiting and even offered an airport pick up (which we should have used so late at night). The room was spacious, clean. The breakfast area is near a beautiful garden. Overall, very happy with our quick stay, everyone was really nice and helpful.

The 2 guides Rian and Santa were the best guides I’ve encountered anywhere in all my years of traveling. They were so kind, funny and thoughtful. The food on the trek was phenomenal and it really was a wonderful experience. The property is great, with a beautiful lush green garden.
