Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). A really great place to stay. The tatami rooms are lovely, we had the most wonderful autumn colours right outside our window. Fabulous. We also really enjoyed the veg. Curry in the evening.

I found the bed comfortable and the whole quest house was very charming. The restaurant attached to the guest house was good and convenient, and the view of the garden from there was lovely. It is two minutes away from Mitaki-dera, which I found to be an underrated beautiful place, now one of my favorite temples I have visited.

It was a dreamy hostel. Our room window was facing the sea. The shared bathroom and kitchen were very cleaned and comfortable. the surroundings were wonderful.

1 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine, ゲストハウス尾道ポポー Guesthouse Onomichi Pawpaw is located in Onomichi and provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. A great place at the start of the shimanami kaido. Lovely owner! The place is a bit older but very well kept and clean. The owner brought us to the bike rental place in the morning which was amazing. The futon was also nice and soft, and the rooms had AC (but we didnt need it in okt). He also has bikes available for rent that were high enough for me, which is rare in japan as im 198cm tall.

The host was exceptionally friendly and helpful. She helped us navigate rental of bikes, gave us good tips about our bike ride, and helped explain the local experience. The place was clean, spacious and had great location right on the beach. Waking up to the water view was amazing.

Onomichi Guest House Miharashi-tei er staðsett í Onomichi, 100 metra frá Senkoji-hofinu, og býður upp á ókeypis WiFi hvarvetna. Gestir geta farið á barinn á staðnum. We stayed in the large family room upstairs and the view was amazing. This place made us feel like we were really in Japan with tatami floors and shoji screens in a beautifully restored traditional house. The story of the restoration project is interesting too. We walked up to the temple and the observatory at the top of the hill, and explored the surrounding streets before going biking on the islands the next day. Wished we had stayed two nights instead of only one. The futons were comfortable and warm. Other guests were considerate and quiet. Facilities were clean.
