The lodging itself is spacious with ensuite bathroom and a stunning view of a golden temple in an adjacent courtyard. The view alone is worth this booking and I definitely recommend it for anyone looking for friendly service near Patan Durbar Square.

Boasting a garden and views of mountain, Namaste Home Stay is a recently renovated guest house situated in Dhulikhel, 30 km from Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage space, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. The homestay is in a perfect location, with only 15 minutes walk to Thrangu Tashi Yangtse monastery. The view of the surrounding hills and villages was spectacular. The homestay staff was very attentive and provided authentic tasty food. The guy from the UK took us to look around the villages and introduced the meaningful innovative program to install water tank and pipeline for the village inhabitants. The unique experience brough us a closer look to the life of the local Tamang people.

The hotel staff were very warm and helpful upon arrival, offering an arrival drink and helping us get bags to the room. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff helped arrange a bus to take us from Bhaktapur to Pokhara, and took us to the bus stop in the early morning. The restaurant was prompt and tasty. The location is prime in Bhaktapur- easy to walk around from the Hotel.

Best place to stay in town, especially for solo travelers! Shekhar is a friendly host who kindly offers local advice. I will definitely visit this place again when coming back to Nepal 🇳🇵 it’s close to one of my favorite shop, the peacock shop, where they makes cool paper products 😍

The room was really beautiful. I came in winter when it was a bit cold. There was a heated mattress cover though which was so warm and cosy. The breakfast was lovely and the owner was so friendly and helpful and gave lots of great advice for the local area.

Shailendra and his wife were gentle and kind, treating me like a dear elder and a long-lost friend. I cherished the breakfast time every morning. They welcomed me like family. Sitting by the balcony, savoring the delicious breakfast they prepared, watching the view, listening to the birds sing, and sharing unhurried conversations—this was exactly the meaning of my trip. Walking out from the hotel, there are many cafés nearby. A little further, you’ll find bookstores, supermarkets, and the beautiful traditional architecture of Patan. Compared to other areas of Kathmandu, Patan feels more peaceful and perfect for leisurely strolls. As a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe here. This place has left me with beautiful memories of Kathmandu. May we all enjoy life to the fullest in our own corners of the world. See you again.
