The room was exactly as displayed and promised. The location is great because you have many possibilities to take daily tours to different places. Either directly from the hotel or with a short trip to the area. Great for hiking and swimming in the many different lakes around the area. The cozy private beach access is a few meters to walk ( 5 minutes) and well maintained. Waldesruh hotel is far enough away from the touristic place in Velden. It has a great garden where you can just relax and read a book. The room has a balcony where you can enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. It is family friendly and offers a playground for the little ones. It is a quiet place too. The host is very helpful, super friendly and familiar with the area and makes you feel welcome. The breakfast is recommended. Each morning a little surprise with cake or homemade jam. We were looking for a quiet place with the opportunities to explore the area. This place was just the right place for us. I enjoyed sleeping with an open window. All windows and door had Moskito screens.

Seepension Kakl is a hidden gem. The place is right on the lake with a private grass area, and the ability to swim straight into the lake. Plenty of room to relax, with the hotel providing sunloungers, umbrellas, floaties. The room was spacious and clean, comfy bed, large bathroom with really good shower pressure. There are no cooking facilities but there is a small fridge and a larger fridge in the common area. There are a few restaurants nearby either by walking or a short drive.

The beds were real comfortable. The view was awesome. We could have our own little area with garden. The cities were not far. The shops have strange opening hours, but with a little planning it's fine. The food is also very tasty in the restaurants.
