José and Silvana, the owners are very warm-hearted and friendly, as well as their children. The whole family is also very children friendly. We stayed with our little 1,5 years old daughter. There were cute cats around the house and the owner has a small farm close by. We went there quite often to see the sheep, goats, chicken...and José was always happy to see us and we could even assist when the goats were milked. The (rocky)beach is about 25 min walk from the house. There are hardly any tourists. When we were there in February March, the waves were too high to go swimming, too dangerous as well with the rocks. The charming village is nicely situated between mountains and sea. In the village, a nice hiking trail leads to the charco Azul waterfall. Behind the house another hiking trail uphill. The terrace is great for taking sunbaths or just watching the stars at night. Internet worked very well. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. There were even fruits and wine for welcome. There is a bar in the village. Close-by as well a nice viewpoint, the Mirador de Anden Verde.

Perfect location with great view. Outdoor kitchen was nice and the pool also. Carlota does a good job maintaining the whole garden and house. On weekdays she is there in the morning. Superfast wifi inside the house and by the pool.

Casa Luz is located in a corner of the Paradise. In between huge mountains of Gran Canaria, 20 minutes drive from Agaete port through an amazing route by the mountain....you arrive in El Risco, a very small village where the locals are all smiling and you see them working together as a community. When you enter Casa Luz, you discover that there is absolutely everything you may need for your stay, even things that you didn't know you needed. You basically feel right at home. The house is kept wonderfully clean, and there are a lot of small details that will make your stay a truly memorable one. Photos don't do justice of what the house is actually like (it's a lot better than in the photos). Another AMAZING feature is the fact that you CAN drink the tap water, which was impossible for us in any other location on Gran Canaria and Tenerife. You can feel that the water is pure, directly from the mountain, without chlorine. Raul and his mom, Mari Luz, are very friendly hosts and available to help you anythig, while offering your privacy. The terrace was our favorite part. During the day you can sunbathe, at sunset you can enjoy the sights of the local fauna (some majestic birds), and at night you have the whole sky for yourself, completely free of light pollution, so ideal if you like to watch the stars. I could go on with this description way longer, but I'll stop here before the nostalgia of the fact that we only stayed for 3 nights will get too overwhelming. I can't wait to be back. Lovely location, great views. Everything was perfect. We really enjoyed staying in this location. From property we had a walking path straight away to Tamadaba (difficult level). We had a lot equipments in the kitchen (for preparing coffee, meals). Lovely time! Thank You!

The staff were all really friendly and were willing to provide whatever we needed. The resort was STUNNING! The views were brilliant and the layout of the whole place was wonderful. So much more than we expected - the pictures don’t do it justice. It is remote and secluded as much as you want it to be - stay there, away from the world, or go and visit the nearby towns and villages for some more food options and different culture.

- Low cost for such a big house with a nice big terrace to enjoy. - Barbeque facilities were very good, terrace equipped with picnic table. - Terrace also equipped with table and chairs where one could relax with a drink or two. - Beds comfy. - Kitchen pretty well equipped (oven doesn't work but hob was fine and there is a microwave oven). - Nice separate room next to the kitchen to eat meals in when the weather might not be suitable outside. - Very nice views of the mountains.

Loved the welcoming host, little gifts, farm tour, all the necessities, cleanliness, great views, all the authentic, historical little things that one can get in touch with by simply walking around the house or town. If you enjoy a rural feel with all of its sights and sounds this place is very enjoyable.

A wonderful peaceful place next to a mountain, from where it was easy to get around the island by car. The apartment was very clean and had everything you needed. There was no need to go shopping right away because there was everything in the fridge and lots of fruit on the table. Rayco showed us the apartment and the garden and welcomed us very kindly. I can recommend the place when you want a peaceful stay surrounded by wonderful scenery. The hiking trail starts from the corner of the house into the mountains if you want to hike or even walk.

Excellent place for families, even two (or three) families together. Two bathrooms and three bedrooms upstairs; big livingroom, kitchen and toilet downstairs. All range of equipment available. We missed literally nothing, and could have stayed even longer comfortably. Children's playground 50 meters away in the backyard, safe and beatutiful, we event went there in pyjamas :-D Suitable parking space for one car just at front door. The house is located in modern unified residential area, which is however pretty. Town center is 7 minutes walk despite a somewhat detour, with bars, cafés and even botanical garden. Beach is in neighbour town 25 minutes walk, supermarket being halfway. The host welcomed us upon arrival and gave us a Whatsapp contact, but we didn't need to contact them further. In general, Agaete has magical spirit which is hard to describe, but it's definitely one of best places to stay on Canaries.
