Really nice bedroom with comfortable bed - got a great nights sleep Beautiful quiet location. Loved the courtyard & the fact that you could open the double doors in warm weather to let the sun in. Really appreciated fresh bread cheese & Jam. Lovely hosts made to feel welcome.

No words enough to describe this little gem. A warm welcome by Yvonne, the owner, together with her cute little dog & witty cat. Once settled a refreshment was waiting for me with some mjammy nibbles. Enjoyed the tranquility and peace at the pool and of course a lively chat with my hostess. Once night time arrived not only I could enjoy listening to the lullabies from the nightinggale but once under the duvet i discovered a little bag of lavender. Such a delicate touch!! The next morning a lovely french breakfast was served with a healthy Dutch twist! ;)

The owners met my parents on arrival and showed them around the premises. Everything was as stated on the website, or even better. It clearly is an old/vieux house and therefore a bit dark, filled with trinkets and (how lovely!) hundreds of English/French books. Very spacious and super clean. Almost every bedroom having its own bathroom was a huge plus, as were the washing machine (children are messy) and literally piles of extra bath towels and bed linens in a walk-in closet. The kitchen has everything one may need, including dishwasher tablets, kitchen towels (a pet peeve of mine), enough pots and pans to cook for the village of Deviat. The garden is gorgeous, and the covered patio with a 20 person dining table brilliant. We had a long list of all the churches and wineries we'd visit, but we spent all our time on the terrace, sitting in those oddly comfortable office chairs, enjoying the children playing in the large yard. We booked this house because of the private pool and it was wonderful. Heated (against a small, agreed on fee), easy to get into/out of, clean, some pool toys, private. The owner, a British lady named Carol, always responded promptly to my questions, and my parents and sister had a blast chatting with her and her partner. Although they live in the neighbouring house, we had complete privacy. The photo was taken from the largest bedroom, facing the garden and pool. A small bit of the covered patio is visible.
